All the students looking forward to work while studying in Michigan Tech are eligible to participate in the Michigan Tech work-study programme and can apply for all work-study positions through Handshake, a portal for on-campus jobs, which is available on MTU's official website.

Undergraduate work-study students have been authorized to work up to eight hours per week for 14 weeks each semester, or a total of 112 hours. Students will earn their work-study financial aid award in the form of a bi-weekly pay check for hours worked. Also, they must note that work-study award is not automatic. Students must apply for and be hired for on-campus work-study positions.
