Northern Kentucky University was established in 1968, though its origin goes back to 1946. It is a public comprehensive university that is located in a major metropolitan area. There are two campuses of the university namely Highland Heights Campus and Great County Campus. The main campus of the university is the Highland Heights Campus and it is located along the US 27, seven miles southeast of Cincinnati, Ohio.
