- Non-Siena student applicants from other AACSB Accredited institutions, without an articulation agreement, are expected to have achieved a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.1 (overall), and to have achieved a grade of at least a “B-” in at least 4 of the 5 following courses, or equivalent courses.

- Students from Institutions that are Not AACSB-Accredited: Students from Non-AACSB Accredited institutions are encouraged to inquire about admission to the MSA Program. Each student’s application will be administered and evaluated on an individualized basis.

Applicants with an undergraduate GPA of at least a 3.0 for an accounting degree earned within the preceding five years are not required to submit GMAT scores.

If an applicant possesses a degree from another institution, the degree must have been earned within the last 5 years.

Siena’s M.S. program in accounting is designed for students who have earned an undergraduate degree in accounting from an AACSB-accredited institution and wish to sit for the New York state CPA exam. Although our admissions committee will consider applications from students who have undergraduate degrees in other majors, all applicants must these minimum admissions requirements:
- Financial Accounting, Siena ACCT 200
- Managerial Accounting, Siena ACCT 205
- Intermediate Accounting I, Siena ACCT 300*
- Intermediate Accounting II, Siena ACCT 305*
- Cost Accounting, Siena ACCT 350*
- Taxation I, Siena ACCT 340*
- Accounting Information Systems, Siena ACCT 370*
- Auditing, Siena ACCT 430*
- Managerial Finance, Siena FINC 201
- Computer Scinece (6 credits), Siena CSIS 110 or higher
- Business Core, Siena College or equivalent AACSB college
* 4 of the 6 Courses require at least a B- grade to be considered for admission.
