Stanford University Athletics

The intercollegiate athletic teams of Stanford Univeristy are called the Cardinal, competing in the NCAA Division I (FBS). In total there are 36 varsity sports under Stanford at the moment as well as 50 club sports. The university also provides campus-wide physical ed. classes, fitness and wellness, aquatics, intramurals and adventure programming.

The student athletes of the Stanford campus have won a total of 173 National championships.
