With the expansion of the Business world in the 19th century, Dr. S. Irving, and Thomas W. Donoho decided to open Strayer Business College in Baltimore. The college became famous in 1904, so they decided to open it in another location in Washington. The Washington branch is the headquarters of Strayer with campus locations in the eastern and southern regions of the US. One of the most well-known adult-focused universities in America today, Strayer University offers classes online or via more than 70 campuses in 15 states and Washington, D.C.
With roughly 15 students per faculty on campus and 30 to 35 students per faculty in online courses, Strayer University strives to maintain a low student-to-instructor ratio. As of June 2019, 52,253 students took Stayer University admission (according to an unofficial source).
