MA in Radio-Television-Film/MA in Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies - Batch of 2023

The university campus is good with very helpful faculty.
Tips: Students should know that they might get a temporary culture shock but that will not unnecessarily be a bad thing as people here might come off as more blunt or transparent but they are also equally kind and helpful. Talk to your supervisors and interact in classrooms. Campus life is also very educative and you are bound to learn a lot. Public transportation is affordable and accessible throughout the day, Overall, I am satisfied with the course, college and the country.

The university provides a good sense of community.
Tips: Studying at the University of Texas has been an incredible journey with lots of ups and downs so far. The student body is diverse, and accommodation so you will meet good people. Focus on network building and making friends while you're here. Overall, I am satisfied with my experience.

Mixed opinion but it is a good place.
Tips: While the University of Texas has many strengths, my experience here has been mixed. I took a while to settle here and the orientation was brief and unhelpful at least according to me. Along with this, housing is an issue as the capacity to board students is limited and this causes a lot of issues.

The college is great with strong and intense academics.
Tips: The course work and curriculum are pretty intense and studying here has been a truly one of a kind experience. You should spend time exploring courses before you select a single major as you might be surprised. Don't miss out on the international student fair and mixers as these are a great way of socialising and networking.

The University of Texas has a very diverse and vibrant campus.
Tips: I have had a positive experience here as the campus is very vibrant and welcoming and the faculty is also very involved and helpful. I have felt heard and understood in times when I needed which I am grateful for. As an international student, it took me a while to understand the academic curriculum and get comfortable with it.
