With an acceptance rate of 82%, the University of Illinois Springfield is easy to get into for international candidates. However, the high acceptance rate does not imply that the university selects everyone who is applying. The university follows certain selection criteria that include academic scores, standardized test scores, English language Proficiency scores, and other activity participation. The university also gives weightage to the relevant experience students have. To get a smooth application process, students must aim to score well and fulfill the basic eligibility criteria.
The University of Illinois Springfield expects a minimum cumulative GPA of 2 on the 4 scales from undergraduate students and 2.5 on the 4 scale. However, students who were enrolled previously had scores much higher than the requirement. Along with the GPA, students also prefer to submit the ACT or SAT scores which is not mandatory.
