Commonly asked questions On Fees and Eligibility
The University of Maryland offers admission for Indian students in two intakes namely Fall and Spring intake. If you have applied for the Early Action Fall intake, it is non binding. If are you admitted at the university, you have time till May 1, 2026 to confirm your enrolled at the University of Maryland.
When your admission decision is ready, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions will send you a notification. If you are admitted to UMD, you may also get a general welcome letter in the mail from the admissions office a few days later. If you complete the application by January, you will obtain an email by early April. Because of limited seats, early application is highly recommended. Graduate decisions are usually released within two or three weeks.
International UG students need to apply through either the Common Application or the Application portal. Only one application from the portals will be accepted. Do not submit applications on both portals as the university may reject your application.
