- Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in physics or an allied field or equivalent from an accredited college or university .
- Students are expected to have passed with a grade of C or better the following courses or their equivalent: modern physics, mechanics, electromagnetic theory, kinetic theory and statistical mechanics, nuclear physics, and solid state physics. Mathematics through advanced calculus, including ordinary and particle differential equations and vector analysis, should also have been completed in the undergraduate program.
- Students with deficiencies in these courses must make them up during their initial two years of graduate studies.

- Three (3) additional payments are due over the next three (3) months, resulting in a total of four payments per term
- A late fee of $100 will be applied if payment is not made by the deadline each month
