Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics - Batch of 2025

Home away from home. You will feel like staying in the campus for long hours!
Tips: Students don't get scholarships at USF. The professors are highly educated. The campus is extremely beautiful. I personally loved the library. It has a very big recreational Centre, sports is widely played. The bus transportation for students is good but Tampa does not have reliable transportation off campus. The cabs are expensive.
Likes (Part time work): Part time work is easily available. It is also manageable with studies. You need to keep in touch with the professors to land a part time job in the college otherwise they do have dining part time options and most of the students worked there. Dining part time asked for more physical hours and college part time allowed more work from home hours that's the benefit.
Dislikes (Indian Food): The campus does not have Indian food options. They also don't have vegetarian options for vegetarian people. I preferred cooking at home as there is taaza smart near my apartments from where I bought Indian food items. There are 1-2 Indian restaurants off campus.

Good campus and good people.
Tips: Good for STEM courses if you bag a scholarship but the learning itself will be worthwhile. USF is so much more than just a university and you can expect to meet people from all cultures and all parts of the world so your exposure will be really wide. Classes can range from engaging to intense but it does depend on your professors and your line of interest as you will be expected to be slightly more independent here. Good experience all in all.

Psychology, M.A. - Batch of 2026

Intense research work here.
Tips: I did not expect my degree to be as intense as it is here. There will be a lot of research work, experiments, statistics and academic writing. In a way, a lot more than one would expect. Indian food is good in some places but disappointing in some and you'll have to rely on cooking for yourself. Office hours have been helpful.

Master of Science in Computer Science - Batch of 2025

A supportive diverse learning experience at USF.
Tips: There aren't many cultural transitions. I think there are enough Indian students to feel comfortable and confident enough in our culture. I did not avail any scholarships but our school does offer some really good ones for a Bachelor's degree and I personally know some who were awarded scholarships. I'm pretty satisfied with the university but not the country.

Affordable fee as compared to other colleges in the US.
Tips: Students should know the course structure and campus culture. It took time to adapt to an independent lifestyle and a new academic system. There will be no scholarships for master's students and for undergraduate students, they will be. The course work is heavy, you need to manage it.

Master of Science in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2025
4.5
Great electrical engineering school but immigration is the current hurdle.
Tips: The culture is different but meeting people in class and outside will help get to know more. The college is not that expensive compared to other similar tier university. The job opportunities are good for electrical engineering but the immigration changes are the biggest hold up. I have spoken to people who graduated before me and they got jobs. But this years changes are making it hard to get into a job.
Likes (Safety): I have been to places in Florida, the state is a safe one. Tampa is better with cops all over the university area. I go out all the time and never felt unsafe and never got any stuff stolen. The people in Tampa are friendly and never had any problem, the traffic's not bad at all.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): I rated it 3 because of the recent changes made to immigration by the current administration. The uncertainty is troubling as I have spent a lot on my master's degree with no return. The wait period for a Green card is around 140 years and a lot of negative changes to the H1b programme as well are not that good.
