- Based on a student’s background and research interests, the thesis committee will decide on the program of study, which may include increasing or decreasing the number of required courses. Students who enter the MA program with greater than eight upper-level science or math courses (the minimum necessary for a Wesleyan E&ES BA) may use those courses in place of Wesleyan MA credits.
