- A calculus sequence through multivariable calculus
- Linear algebra
- Discrete mathematics
- An applied math course (e.g. differential equations, probability, calculus based statistics or numerical analysis)
- Abstract algebra, analysis, advanced calculus, or topology
- GPA of 3 out of 4 in at least one of the following
- All mathematics courses that are applicable to the UG mathematics major
- Courses specified in 2 through 5 of item above
- Computational Mathematics Concentration:-
- Students must have completed the following UG courses
- One year calculus sequence
- Linear algebra
- Discrete mathematics
- One year sequence of programming courses
- BA degree with a major in either Computer Science, Engineering, Math or Physics
- GPA of 3 out of 4 in at least one of the following
- All mathematics and computer science courses that are listed in 1 through 4 above; or
- All courses in the major listed in 5 above
- Students cannot enter the program if they have a deficiency in the courses listed above
- Mathematical Economics Concentration:-
- UG degree majoring in economics, math, mathematical economics or other related majors with completion of the following UG courses
- A calculus sequence through multivariable calculus
- Discrete mathematics
- Principles of microeconomics and macroeconomics
- One semester of junior or senior level probability theory
- Differential equations
