Below are the Yale University admission requirements for LLM: 

1. Applicants must have a list of all their prior colleges or universities, accompanied by unofficial transcripts from each school. However, unofficial transcripts should be uploaded with the applicant's application.

2. But in the case of LLM, Applicants must have official transcripts be submitted through LSAC’S credential Assembly service. 

3. Two letters of recommendation (however, the university allows recommendations up to 4). Applicants must enter the names of their recommender directly in the application, and they will receive a link to upload a letter on the applicant's behalf.  

4. A USD 75 application fee for PG applicants

5. A standardized test, although the Law school does not have tests minimum for admission. However, the applicants must take IELTS or TOEFL if the applicant is from a non-English speaking native country. The LLM course at Yale University has other standardized examinations, such as GRE and GMAT, which are not compulsory for LLM.

6. Applicants must submit the application form through LSAC.

7. Please note that a personal statement is not required and cannot be substituted for or take the place of these required essays.However, the LLM students must write two essays as given below :

   • In no more than 1,000 words, please explain your scholarly research, what prompts your focus on the issues you discuss, and how you have explored them thus far. Critical discussion of specific articles or books that have influenced the formation of your research agenda is particularly welcome. (If you include footnotes, they are not counted for the purposes of the word limit.)
   • In no more than 250 words, please tell us about a profound academic or personal experience that you have had and how it shaped your intellectual development.

Yale University English Language Proficiency Exams

Step 2: Check your requirements thoroughly, and see if your current qualifications are recognized.

Step 3: Applicants must meet the entry requirements checklist below before applying to the university: 

• Transcripts of your UG
• Must meet the English requirements 
• Two- Three letters of recommendations( can go up to 4)
• SOP
• USD 75 application fee 
• Resume/CV
• 2 Essays
• Some programs might have additional requirements, depending on the course. 

Step 4: Make sure your English requirements meet the standards of the University.

Step 5: You can submit your application after your requirements are ready.
