The JLPT (Japanese-Language Proficiency Test) is an internationally recognised exam that measures how well you know Japanese. It is divided into five different levels, which are N1, N2, N3, N4 and N5. N5 is for entry-level or beginner level and N1 is for the most advanced level.

What is JLPT Exam?

The JLPT (Japanese-Language Proficiency Test) is an internationally recognised exam that measures how well you know Japanese. It tests your reading and listening skills related to the Japanese language. The test happens twice a year in many countries, usually in July and December.

  • Check Dates: As you know, the JLPT is held twice a year, in July and December. Visit the official JLPT website for exact dates.
  • Choose Center: JLPT Exam is conducted in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, and Kolkata.
  • Register online: Fill out the application form on the website JLPT exam. You need to create MyJLPT account.
  • Pay fees: Fees range from INR 1,500 to INR 1,700, depending on the level (N1 to N5).
  • Get admit card: After payment, you’ll receive your admit card by email.
  • Take the Test: Appear at your selected center on the scheduled date.

  • The JLPT certificate is valid for life; there is not expiry date.
