History
Yale US traces its roots to the 1640s, when colonial clergymen tried to establish a local college in the tradition of European liberal education. Then, in 1701, the Connecticut legislature decided to establish a Collegiate School. In 1718, this school officially became Yale College. Next, in 1813, Yale School of Medicine was founded.
