Vibrant, diverse and relaxed university life.
Tips: Adapting to the Scandinavian and European cultures in general is key. In any country, adapting to the local culture is important, and people tend to respect your personality once you have. You just need to respect the people and their space, be civilised, and not engage in any uncivilised activities. Besides that, the university is very welcoming. We have many events and extracurriculars to participate in.
Likes (Quality of faculty): It is one of the best universities in Sweden. It is ranked below 200 in QS University Rankings. The staff is easy to work with and does not pressure students with the workload. Students have direct access to their professors after class hours, which is much easier compared to the system in Germany, where you can only speak with your mentor most of the time. This makes the system overall more user-friendly.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Sweden is not like the UK or Canada. It has fewer Indian immigrants. Especially if you consider state-wise, it’s significantly lower comparatively. So, as a person from Kerala, I don’t really find much cuisine that is native to Kerala. And when it’s available, it’s kinda expensive.
