Ball State University offers various scholarships to its international students including the Global Achievement Scholarship, Global Distinction Scholarship, Global Honors Scholarship, and #YouAreWelcomeHere scholarship. Moreover, remember the grant is given to undergraduate students for a maximum of eight semesters. Recipients must sign up for full-time, degree-seeking classes on campus.

Global Achievement Scholarship Eligibility

• Students for a four-year total of 48,000 USD, international undergraduate students can get 12,000 USD annually.
• The students should maintain a cumulative GPA (Grade Point Average) of 2.5. Moreover, if a student's GPA drops from the below category which is 2.5 at the end of the spring semester of any academic year, then the scholarship will not be renewed.
• If a student has raised the total GPA to 2.5 at the end of fall or summer semester, the award can be restored upon request.

Scholarship Eligibility at Global Distinction

• International UG students are eligible to receive 14,000 USD per year or a total of 56,000 USD over 4 years.
• Students who qualify for this Ball State Global Distinction Scholarship need to keep their total GPA above 2.5.
• The scholarship will not be renewed after the spring semester of any given academic year if the GPA falls below 2.5. On the other hand, the award may be restored upon request if the total GPA increases to 2.5 after the fall or summer semester.

YouAreWelcomeHereScholarship Scholarship Eligibility

• First-year international undergraduate students who are neither citizens nor permanent residents of the United States are eligible to apply for the #YouAreWelcomeHereScholarship
• Admission to an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program offered on campus is required. In every semester, students must enroll full-time and maintain a total GPA of at least 2.5.
• The scholarship will not be renewed after the spring semester of any given academic year if the GPA falls below 2.5.
• On the other hand, the award may be restored upon request if, after the fall or summer semester, the total GPA increases to 2.5.

How to Apply for the Scholarship-

To be considered for admission, students must submit a brief essay or video explaining how they have demonstrated leadership in their community or school and how they want to carry that over to Ball State University. Also, essays and videos should be submitted through our online form.
