Columbus College of Art and Design was established in 1879. It is one of the oldest private art and design colleges in the United States. The college is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD) and the Higher Learning Commission. CCAD have a great diverse student community with 32% of students being International.With a focus on entrepreneurship and the arts, including fashion design, animation, illustration, and photography, it offers a broad range of degree options.  Some of the notable alumni of CCAD are American visual artist, writer, and instructor Alex Grey who is well-known for his psychedelic and spiritual artwork, which includes his series of twenty-one paintings called Sacred Mirrors and American storyboard artist, director, and voice actor Brian Fee who is employed at Pixar.
