History

This school was founded in 1847 as the Lawrence Scientific School. It later became the Division of Engineering and Applied Sciences and then, in 2007, the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. John A. Paulson gave $400 million to endow School of Engineering and Applied Sciences after which the school was renamed as John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS).
