NIFT entrance examination is Institutional based examination which will only help you to get into NIFT whereas UCEED is a common Entrance Examination which is accepted by many design colleges and universities. So if you plan to get into only NIFT then you do have to give NIFT Entrance Exam but if you plan to apply in many universities then UCEED is a better option as you'll have many university choices and you can get admission on the basis of UCEED score.

The college has not specifically released the campus report for the year 2023. However, NIFT placement brochure 2023 is available on the official website. As per the annual report 2022, NIFT Gandhinagar successfully conducted the virtual campus placement for phase 1 and for phase 2 organised at NIFT Gandhinagar campus. For admission to BFTech course at NIFT Gandhinagar, students need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. The selection criteria for this course are NIFT + PI + Counselling and candidates must pass Class 12 from any recognised state/national board. Candidates who have not completed Class 12 are not eligible for admission.

A total of 170 courses are offered atNIFT Gandhinagar. Majorityof seats are offered to BDes in Fashion Design, BDes in Textile Design and BDesin Accessory Design specialisations, i.e., 38, respectively. Students can check the table below to know course specialisations:

When filling NIFT 2026 application form, you will have to upload your Live photo, photograph and signature.

• Photograph - Upload only a recent scanned passport size color photograph.
• Accepted file size should be no more than 100KB. The accepted format is jpeg only. 
• Signature - Scanned signature should be in Blue/Black ink on white background.

As per the current system, there is no scope to pay the NIFT application fee using demand draft. 

The candidate has to pay the NIFT application fee online using online payment gateway, including credit card, debit card, or net banking. 

Note that unless the application fee has been paid successfully, the NIFT 2026 application form filling process will not be considered complete. The NIFT application fee for general category is INR 3,000. Meanwhile, SC, ST, and PwD candidates only need to pay INR 1,500. It is recommended that candidates pay the fee specific to their category, or else the candidate may not be considered for admission.

NIFT Gandhinagar will accept 190 students total for its B.Des programmes in 2024, split among four specialisations. There are 70 seats available for fashion design. There are fifty seats allotted for textile design. Knitwear Design has a maximum seat count of forty. And the final thirty seats are allotted to Leather Design.

In comparison with NIFT Gandhinagar, the National Institute of Fashion Technology is thought to be better for B.Des students. Assuring a standard in design education, both colleges share the same NIFT curriculum. However, the faculty expertise or teaching approaches for specific specialisations may differ slightly. The instructors are both skilled and experienced. Depending on the college, some professors may be experts in particular fields. 

With more guest lectures and internship opportunities available, Chennai has a modest advantage because it is close to important textile and apparel export firms. Both have strong placement histories, with graduates landing positions in respectable businesses. However, Chennai's close proximity to industry may provide it a small benefit. Due to the greater cost of living in the city, Chennai may provide slightly higher starting earnings on average, though actual pay will depend on individual success and the employer of choice.

Yes, the institute offers admission to foreign students. They can take admission by fullfiling the minimum eligibility criteria set by the institute. 

NIFT Gandhinagar B.Des cutoff 2025 has been released for different categories of students belonging to the AI quota. For the General category, the NIFT Gandhinagar cutoff 2025 for Round 1 ranged between 301 and 751 for B.Des admission. For categories other than the general, the cutoff ranks are tabulated below:

The National Institute of Fashion Technology Gandhinagar accepts NIFT entrance exam scores for admission to the B.Des course. NIFT cutoff 2025 for Round 1 is out for different categories of students belonging to the AI quota. As per the NIFT Gandhinagar cutoff 2025, the first-round closing ranks across different courses ranged between 84 and 751 for the General All India category students. The most competitive course for the General AI category candidates was Master of Design (M.Des.) with the cutoff rank of 84. So, considering the round 1 cutoff, candidates must secure a rank up to 751 or below to be eligible for NIFT Gandhinagar admission.

Yes, candidates are required to appear for NIFT Entrance Exam, followed by a Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) round. The total course fee for the MFTech course is INR 5.86 lakh. The course duration is 2 years. NIFT Gandhinagar is affiliated with the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.

The National Instituite of Fashion Technology will release the NIFT 2026 at the time of seat allotment and counseling.

The cut-offs will be available institute and category-wise for all the program at nift.admissions.nic.in.

The cut-offs will be prepared by considering factors like the seat intake, the merit rank of candidates, admission category, etc. Note that if the seat intake is increase the cut-off would likely go down and vice versa.
