CNC Highlights 2024
College of New Caledonia was established in January of 1969. It was set up on an 'operating funds only' basis. College of New Caledonia was started with financial help from participating school districts. CNC made use of facilities leased by the Prince George Senior Secondary School. The first few programs offered at the College of New Caledonia were Administrative Science, Early Childhood Education, First Year University Arts and Science, and Data Processing. CNC slowly hired faculty to teach these courses. Around 253 students took admission from all participating regions. The college was named after the fur-trading district of Hudson's Bay Company. The name was given to the region by the explorer Simon Fraser.

- Successful completion of the equivalent to 12 years of primary and secondary study with an overall result in the final year of 60% in state board exams or 53% in the CBSE or ICSE exams.
- Post Diploma programs require a minimum of 57% overall in their relevant degree with no more than 6 backlogs;
- Successful completion of an equivalent to English 12 with a grade of “C” (53%) or better;
- Proof of English language proficiency.
