Fanshawe College History
Founded in 1967, Fanshawe College of Applied Arts and Technology also commonly known as Fanshawe College is a public college located in Southwestern Ontario, Canada. The Ontario Vocational Centre located in London, Ontario had its first set of classes on Sep 28, 1964. The centre became Fanshawe College in the year 1967 which is a part of a provincial system of applied arts and technology colleges. The college has three campuses located in Woodstock, St. Thomas and Simcoe. James A. Colvin was named as the first president of Fanshawe College in 1967 and had the position until 1979 and was succeeded by Harry Rawson. The Fanshawe College Arboretum had been established in the year 1995.
