Fanshawe College Architecture and Infrastructure

Fanshawe College is known to offer a vibrant campus life and they support students academically, socially and personally as well. The main campus of Fanshawe College is located in London, Ontario, Canada and has a campus area of 100 acres along with 23 buildings, including near to 1,200 apartment-style residence rooms and close to 400 townhouse rooms. The other campus locations of the college are London Downtown, London South as well as regional campuses in locations like St. Thomas, Simcoe, Woodstock and Huron or Bruce Regional Sites.

Fanshawe College Accommodation

Founded in 1967, Fanshawe College of Applied Arts and Technology also commonly known as Fanshawe College is a public college located in Southwestern Ontario, Canada.

Early History (1960s-1990s)

The Ontario Vocational Centre located in London, Ontario had its first set of classes on Sep 28, 1964. The centre became Fanshawe College in the year 1967 which is a part of a provincial system of applied arts and technology colleges. The college has three campuses located in Woodstock, St. Thomas and Simcoe.

James A. Colvin was named as the first president of Fanshawe College in 1967 and had the position until 1979 and was succeeded by Harry Rawson. The Fanshawe College Arboretum had been established in the year 1995.

Recent History (20^th Century)

Fanshawe College had opened its Centre for Applied Transportation Technologies in May 2011, with around 1,500 students. The Norton Wolf School of Aviation Technology was also established in August 2013 after getting Aviation facilities from London International Airport. Fanshawe College later established the School of Public Safety in Sep 2014, so that they can provide public safety programs and the Canadian Centre for Product Validation in Jun 2016.

Other than this, the college also established its fifth school known as the School of Digital and Performing Arts in 2018 that offers creative programs for students. The number of international students at Fanshawe College was rapidly increasing in the year 2019 and it created new anti-cheating measures.
