Thompson Rivers University was founded in 1970 and was initially known as Cariboo College in 1971 moved to McGill Rd Campus and Opened the Williams Lake Satellite campus. And later joined with Kamloops Vocational School in 1974. Later in 2003, Thompson Rivers University launched three master’s programs and became the first university to introduce a new Law School in Canada in over 30 years. The university celebrated its 50 Anniversary in 2020.
