Teesside University History and Background
The university began as Constantine Technical College almost 100 years ago. Back then, it offered courses in Engineering, Chemistry, Art, and Metallurgy. In the 1960s, it acquired the Waterhouse building. In 1969, the institute became the 13th polytechnic in Britain and was renamed the Teesside Polytechnic.
