About Alberta School of Business
Founded in the year 1916, the Alberta School of Business is the Business School of the University of Alberta, which is a research-intensive publicly funded university in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The school was the first Business school in Canada to receive accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) in 1968.
Alberta School of Business was founded as the School of Accountancy in 1916. The first Bachelor of Commerce degrees were given in 1924, after which a School of Commerce was also established in 1928. Then in 1960, these schools received recognition as a full-fledged School of Business under the University of Alberta. This Business school is divided into four research and teaching departments: Finance, Statistical Analysis, Operations & Information Systems, and Accounting.
The school offers programs for Undergraduate, graduate, PhD, and Master, and combined degrees. A traditional four-year undergraduate degree in Business Administration, there are 5 different B.
