When we look at the University of Alberta courses then it offers more than 200 undergraduate courses, over 500 graduate programs, 250 specializations and 300 research areas. The academic structure of Alberta University is divided into colleges and faculties. The university has three colleges; College of Health Science, College of Natural & Applied Sciences, and College of Social Sciences & Humanities. Besides these, the university has two affiliated colleges; St. Joseph’s College and St. Stephen’s College. University of Alberta Scholarships 2024
The University of Alberta offers a wide range of scholarships to international students based on various factors. Two of the main scholarships offered by Alberta University are ‘Admission-based Scholarships’ and ‘Application-based Scholarships’.
Admission-based scholarships
International students are evaluated for these scholarships when they apply for admission. The eligibility for this scholarship is based on your high school admission average at the time of your admission offers. The university assesses you for these scholarships and if the university finds you eligible for an admission-based scholarship, then the university will contact you directly. The admission-based scholarships are:
- International Admission Scholarship: Selected students could receive up to CAD $5,000, depending on the admission average.
- Regional Excellence Scholarship: Selected students from certain regions could receive up to CAD $5,000, based on the admission average.
- Gold Standard Scholarship: The top 5% of students in each faculty could receive up to CAD $6,000, depending on the admission average.
Application-based Scholarship
These scholarships are for all types of students. Students are required to fill out a single scholarship application and based on their background, experiences, academics, and interests, the university assesses and finds a suitable application-based scholarship for them. The application-based scholarships are:
- President’s International Distinction Scholarship: Students with a superior admission average and demonstrated leadership qualities on a student visa permit could receive up to CAD $120,000 (payable over 4 years).
- International Leader Scholarship: International students with superior academic and well-rounded leadership qualities could receive up to CAD $10,000.

University of Alberta admissions depend on three main areas; Grades, English proficiency, and completion of required subjects. The admission process at UAlberta a is a three-step process. The first step is to select your desired program, the second step is to review your admission requirements and contact the department for any more queries, and finally, apply online and submit all the required documents.
