- Minimum Grade H5 in two subjects and passes in four other subjects at O6/H7 Level in the Leaving Certificate, including Irish, English, Mathematics, a laboratory science subject (i.e., Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Physics with Chemistry (joint), Agricultural Science or Computer Science) or Technology, and any two other subjects recognised for entry purposes.
- Additional requirements: Minimum H4 in Mathematics or, alternatively, obtain a pass in the Engineering Maths Qualifying Exam (held in the University).
- Students must obtain a minimum of Grade H4 in the Higher Level Leaving Certificate paper in Mathematics or, alternatively places available (which may vary in number year to year) may be allocated to those candidates who have achieved the points requirement for the programme that year, who satisfy the general requirements for Matriculation in the College of Engineering and Informatics and who attain a Pass in the Engineering Maths Qualifying Examination
- The places available will be allocated in strict order of merit based points attained in the Leaving Certificate. Due to capacity constraints, not all candidates who achieve a pass in the examination may receive an offer. For A-levels: A minimum of Grade C in Mathematics is required

Enjoyable College Experience with no guarantee
Tips: Definitely, and I think interacting while leaving our biases behind is the best way to get the college experience. No, I didn't get any scholarship. Fairly satisfied with the university, the course was well developed and delivered, and Galway is a peaceful and friendly place.
Likes (Internships): As part of my course, there was an 8-month placement available, fully paid, and the placement coordinator found me a placement. Absolutely, all of the internships are relevant to the course, but it is important to remember that not all courses offer placements, so it's best to check beforehand whether they do.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are very few on-campus part-time jobs, almost close to None. Off-campus opportunities are fairly limited due to there being more students than jobs. It's definitely manageable, but unless you do the full 20hrs/week it's really hard to survive. It's u20ac14,50 per hour.

Great place to Study and live
Tips: You will get used to the culture here, people are very warm and welcoming, especially in Galway, and, most importantly, the weather. The University is amazing, the course is well organised and professional, with great teaching staff. Overall, it's a peaceful place to be.
Likes (Student Life): The University is a lovely, lively, and beautiful place to spend your day. Events are happening all the time, and there are many clubs and societies to join. You definitely won't get bored here. There is also an Indian society that organises Indian cultural events and more.
Dislikes (Value for money): The tuition fee is on the higher end, but still similar in range to other Universities. The ROI only makes sense if you get yourself settled in a job. In the current situation, getting a visa-sponsored job has become difficult. If you get a job, then the value-for-money aspect would make sense.

The university looks good, it has a very good library.
Tips: The modules are quite advanced, and the classes wouldn't cover any basics. One or two classes will be spent on basics, and then the modules will jump to advanced-level topics. Assignments will be of the same level of complexity. I didn't get any scholarships. I'm not satisfied with the university or the course, because neither helped me get a job. I used my previous experience to get a full-time job here. Use these universities as a gateway to enter the country. That's it. You're on your own with everything else.
Likes (Safety): Cycles were lost. The ambulance arrived late. Since it's a huge campus, you have to take care of your own safety. Twice a week, the student council would give out groceries that were about to expire, and when there was a huge crowd (non-Irish) to collect them, that would be made into big news, which was absurd.
Dislikes (Part time work): University doesn't help you with part-time jobs. You're on your own. On-campus part-time jobs are quite limited, and there'll be a lot of competition for them. The same goes for off-campus jobs too. As Galway city is small, the shops and stores are also fewer. So you've to keep handing out CVs or applying online to get a part-time or full-time job.

A great lifetime experience for students
Tips: Yes. There will be major cultural shift. But the University and it's people will make sure to involve you in everything going around. You just have to be attentive when the announcement are done. I didn't avail any scholarship, I funded my study by education loan and personal finances
Likes (Student Life): There are many groups, Societies, in the campus which u can join based on your preference. There are many events where u can network with fellow students and make friends. You can develope your leadership skills and even practice your English speaking skills by communicating to international students
Dislikes (Internships): Various seminars and presentations take place on ways in which one can be prepared for employment. The university offers great advice regarding career guidance, help with writing CVs, and job hunting. The students have access to internships in different fields, including data analytics and business analytics.

Amazing Experience as international Student.
Tips: Before going to college students should look at the courses offered the university facilities, the housing options, the cost of living and the career chances.
It is equally important for students to ready themselves for the academic setting and to be ready to meet people from different cultures.
Although the first few weeks after the student arrived at college were hard because the student was getting used to an education system, a new way of life and new surroundings the student’s adjustment overall was smooth.
The student did notice some differences, especially in how people talk, in food in social activities and in class interactions.
However these differences have helped the student become more independent, confident and open?minded.
The student also obtained a scholarship from the university.
The student applied through the university scholarship procedure. Submitted the required academic and supporting documents.
The scholarship gave the student help for tuition fees and this was very useful in meeting the total education costs.
In fact the student is very satisfied with the university, the country and the course.
The university offers a learning environment, good academic resources and opportunities for personal and professional development.
The student is happy, with the course because it matches the student’s interests and career goals.
Studying in a country has also given the student valuable international experience and helped the student gain new skills, confidence and independence.
The student would certainly recommend this experience to any students who're ready to adapt, learn and make the most of new opportunities.
Likes (Student Life): Well, we usually have 2-3 lectures in a day, depending on your course as well. I enjoyed activities which is going around the campus, like volunteer work. There are various types of events that were organised throughout the year, from parties to cultural events. There are a lot of clubs I was part of, including the cricket club.
Dislikes (Value for money): It was way cheaper than other European countries. The course I have chosen has a really good market in Ireland, and I also got an internship, which enhances my experience as help me jump into the Irish market. Overall, the placement cell also helps a lot with job search and interview preparation.
