Galway University Admissions 2026: Requirements, Application Deadlines & Fees

Yes, Indian students can apply with a Duolingo English Test (DET). This would require a minimum GPA of 110.

• PTE with 61+

For UG and PG levels, international students can apply in two ways: via the CAO portal or the official admission portal for undergraduate programs, and for postgraduate courses, it's just the official portal of the University of Galway. Students should try to complete and submit the application by mid-July and mid-November.

To apply for the UG courses at the University of Galway, international students would need a decent score. The same is given below - 

• Complete class 12th (state boards of education, CISCE or CBSE) with at least 55% score (score will vary from 55% to 85% as per Irish Leaving Cert points)

No, the usage of CAO portal depends on the location of an Indian student. But if you stay in India only, you can make an application via the official wesbsite of the University of Galway. 

It is to be noted that if you use CAO portal for the UG application, you would have to pay the University of Galway application fee of EUR 45 but for direct application it is only EUR 35.
