MSc (Business Information Systems) - Batch of 2024

The university is good but needs to work on their academic syllabus.
Tips: Students should know that it is a misconception that the quality of education is better in countries abroad. The curriculum here doesn't add a lot of pressure with a bombardment of exams as most of the grades are covered by assignments. It's better if students get a scholarship and all the details are available on the university website. The public transportation is great, always on time and very accessible and affordable.

Good experience as there is availability for part time opportunities.
Tips: Students should know that there is a huge cultural difference coming from India to here. There are many ways in which you will be tempted, but how well you can stick to your beliefs and morals, as it helps a lot. You should be able to manage your expenses wisely and must be able to meet your daily needs.

University of Galway is one of the best place for a Master's degree.
Tips: The university is known to be in the top 1% but students should keep in mind, that they are on their own. Course content is really good but still some of the aspects they have to do by themselves. It has a good alumni network but it depends on how students are utilising it. I also strongly recommend joining different clubs to get involved in the activities and culture of the country.
Likes (Safety): Galway is one of the friendly counties in Ireland. Where people are really nice to you compared to other cities. The only thing is you may need to be aware in the city is from a young age kids or else most people will be very much welcoming.
Dislikes (Internships): The course doesn’t include any internship however, it could be a great help. People need to search for grad roles/ internships/ senior roles independently. There is support from the university for preparing for interviews and enhancing CVs but in the end, students are on their own.

MEconSc (International Finance) - Batch of 2024

Everything starts with a dream and this experience feels like a dream come true.
Tips: Students should know that the academic structure is intense but it'll make you learn a lot so if you stay focused, you'll definitely reap the results for it. The faculty is lovely and approachable so you can contact them whenever you face a difficulty. Enjoy the life on campus as it is just too beautiful to miss out on.
Likes (Value for money): The services and the infrastructure provided by the university speak for itself. Moreover, the academic structure and the course design are brilliant. They focus on practical learning as opposed to theory. Moreover, the university has a brilliant library and an unbeaten research record in Ireland.
Dislikes (Part time work): The university gives enough opportunities in the form of working as Graduate Teaching Assistants and Internships in relevant fields. As for me, I worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant which basically involves teaching undergrad students and you get paid for that.

Excellent experience, great city and it is safe to explore the city even at midnight.
Tips: Students should know that the University student life is very good, I didn't get any scholarship for my studies but in my opinion, the fee structure is budget-friendly. It will be the best return on investment if you study at this university. Galway as a city is very safe, me and my friends walk around at 12 midnight, and we never felt a sense of danger.
