University of Oslo Admissions 2025: Application Deadline, Requirements & Costs

Yes, the student residence permit will allow University of Oslo students to work up to 20 hours a week. Students can also work full-time during holidays. Note that part-time work permit allows students to be an employee. They are not allowed to set up their own business while being on a student permit. Also note that while doing part-time work, students have to follow a normal study progression and complete 30 ECTS credits each semester.

The University of Oslo requirements for international students vary as per the course levels. The general admission requirements are given below:

• Master’s degree: Indian applicants are required to have a 4-year bachelor’s degree and / or 3-year bachelor’s degree and 1-year master’s degree

Also, the applicants are required to meet the English language requirements. IELTS / PTE / TOEFL are the test scores that are accepted by Oslo University.

The University of Oslo requirements for international students for the Master’s in Economics:

• A bachelor’s degree: 4-year bachelor’s degree / 3-year bachelor’s degree and 1-year master’s degree
• The applicants must have an equivalent of Norwegian C in the required specialization
• GRE / GMAT. At least 152 points in the Quantitative Reasoning section in GRE / GMAT with at least 600 points
• English language proficiency requirement

To apply to the University of Oslo University of Oslo Master of Laws in Information and Communication Technology Law, India applicants must have a bachelor’s degree. The duration of the bachelor’s degree should be of 4 years or 3 years and 1 year master’s degree. English language proficiency test scores that are accepted are TOEFL / IELTS / PTE.
