Far Eastern Federal University has great faculty with flexible class schedule.
Tips: If you are considering studying at Far Eastern Federal University, be prepared for the FMGE. It is a difficult exam, and you will need to study hard to pass it. You will also have periods of both leisure time and stressful time, so be ready to face both. Also, the campus is not as nice as the brochures claim.
Likes (Student Life): The college life is filled with excitement. There are tests every day on topics we've learned, so we have to keep up with them. The teachers are very friendly, and the class timetable is flexible. But attendance is very important, so we have to keep up with that as well. It's a good idea to start preparing for the FMGE early on.
Dislikes (Indian Food): The canteen food is average, but I still prefer to cook for myself. There is an Indian restaurant nearby, but it is expensive. It is better to buy groceries and cook for yourself. The canteen food is Russian, but it is still good. There are vending machines in every hostel, so if you get a craving at night, you can grab something quickly.

The college is very beautiful and located separately on an island. In every class only 20 students.
Tips: The Far Eastern Federal University is a world-class university, and the classes are held regularly. The environment is very calm and the country is very beautiful. The course is a good value for the money. However, MBBS in English is a special course for university so I couldn't get a scholarship for an English language course. The campus is beautiful, and you can apply for different courses along with your MBBS course. In every class, there are only 20 students, so you can easily get the attention of the teachers. I am satisfied with my university.
Dislikes (Part time work): For part-time jobs, you can get a good job if you speak Russian. If you don't speak Russian, there are fewer options. It's difficult to manage a part-time job with academics because the university is located on an island and it takes a long time to get to a job. The pay is good, though. You can get 180-250 rubles per hour, depending on the job.

Far Eastern Federal University has better facilities and academics for arts and not science.
Tips: One important thing students coming here need to know is the expulsion policy of the university. If you fail to pass an exam, you will go before a commission where you get two more chances. If you fail to pass on both of these occasions, you will be expelled. If you want to study again at Far Eastern Federal University, or any other university in Russia, you will have to start over from the previous year. And the annual fee will also change. There is an Indian restaurant nearby called Jimmy, and it’s a bit overpriced, other than that there is no source for native Indian foods. Sometimes students will arrange food at a certain price themselves like chicken biryani, chicken mandhi, etc. We can go anywhere in the urban areas at night and day, no problem with crimes there. If you have any medical appointments, it's better to take a taxi rather than use public transportation because there will be some rural, lonely places so keep yourself safe. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experience.

The campus teaches you a lot with good amount of fun activities.
Tips: There was no cultural shift, but the experience increased my confidence, acceptance, and existence within me. There are not many scholarships available for international students, but the university has some scholarship plans for students. I was not wholeheartedly satisfied with the University because they prioritised lecturers over students, and we students were from different nationalities.
Likes (Safety): I felt very safe at this university. The campus security is top-notch, with a face recognition GATE that restrict access to authorized individuals. Each entrance is manned by two vigilant security personnel, ensuring a safe environment both inside and outside the campus. They have alloted students a free bus to the city's malls during the weekends, ensuring that students' needs and priorities are met.
Dislikes (Indian Food): The food options at this university are very disappointing. There is only one restaurant in the city that serves Indian food, and it is very expensive and the portions are very small. The food in the university cafe is also disappointing. I ended up preparing my own food because it was better quality and a better value.
