About NUS Law
Established in 1956 as part of University of Malaya, NUS Law is considered one of best law institutions worldwide and ranked #1 for its law programs by Shiksha.

History
NUS Law is oldest tertiary institution in Singapore. Faculty of Law was created with establishment of Department of Law in the then University of Malaya in 1956. 1st law students were admitted to Bukit Timah campus of University in 1957. Pioneer class of law students graduated in 1961 had illustrious members- Professor Tommy Koh (Ambassador-at-Large and former Dean), former Chief Justice Chan Sek Keong, etc
