Q:   How many international students are in CQU?
A: 

More than 5000 international students are there are CQ University Australia. In total, there are more than 16,000 students at CQU on-campus. A varied range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs are offered at CQU. More than 490 courses are offered by CQU on-campus. A few of the study areas at the university include Business and Accounting; Digital Media, Communication and Arts; Information Systems and Technology; etc. Furthermore, international students are offered on-campus accommodation opportunities as well.

Q:   What is the acceptance rate for CQU?
A: 

Various unofficial sources have mentioned that Central Queensland University acceptance rate is 50%. But, a few of the other sources have mentioned that the acceptance rate of CQUniversity is 65%. This means that the university is moderately selective when it comes to admissions. So, to take admission to this university, the applicants must aim to meet all the entry and application requirements. The minimum admission requirements include the completion of Australia Year 12 equivalent for admission to bachelor’s courses. Whereas, for admission to postgraduate coursework courses, the applicants should have completed a bachelor’s degree.

Q:   Does CQU require work experience for admission into all postgraduate courses?
A: 

It is not required to show the work experience for all the CQU courses offered at the PG level; however, for the MBA, it is an important requirement. The students are required to have a minimum work experience of 5 years at CQU.  

Work experience can enhance the PG application of a candidate further.

I really don’t think this is the college I wanted.
Tips: Think 100 times before coming to this university. It doesn’t have a campus. Most of the time they don't have alternate options for help. In the first month, I thought to change my university for the very first time. There are better options like the University of Queensland, QUT and Griffith.
Likes (Safety): This city has best safety options. All the safety services are available all the time for students so that they can feel safe. Everyone is very helpful. They never turned their back on us. There are protective services for school students all the time.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): I don’t think this university has that many options. It doesn’t have any collaboration with industry-level mentors and organisations. They don’t have proper employment programs as well. University website just has the organization name and it only redirects to their website.

The education is good an is completely based on assignments.
Tips: There was a cultural shift as I came from India. The digital era had not hit India yet, but Australia had already been hit. The education is completely based on assignments, which are online assignments made on Word files and Excel as well. I got a 25% scholarship based on my merit back from my home country. The education is very interactive here, which makes every cent feel worth it, and the course aligns with my interest in becoming a CPA. The country is way better than expected, and the people are way nicer than I expected Aussies to be.
Likes (Student Life): My day at college starts with a coffee served in the morning, and I attend my first lecture at 9 am. Then I get a two-hour break, which gives me time to roam around the city and enjoy the scenery of Darling Harbour. I enjoy the community of teachers the most; it makes studying there a real pleasure. There are a lot of events, and they even have a special movie day every other Wednesday, so you can watch any movie with your buddies and hang out on the couches, munching on snacks. I haven't joined any clubs yet, but I'm thinking of joining the table tennis club.
Dislikes (Indian Food): If you plan to live in Sydney, the nearby community will mostly be of Australian or Lebanese origin. The Indian population is significantly smaller there than in Melbourne or other parts of Australia. However, even though the Indian population is small, you'll find a variety of good food options nearby. I highly recommend immersing yourself in all the cultures in the area.
