Q:   Are there any student services offered by the National Institute of Technology?
A: 

National Institute of Technology offers various services to support students. Some of them are mentioned below.

  • Orientation program provides all the necessary information to the students that they should expect from the course and from the university.
  • Training and Assessment support ensures that students manage their studies and are able to achieve their goals.
  • Documentation can get confusing at times and some may even require a small amount of fees to be submitted. PY Student Service officer is responsible to manage all this.
  • Students have been given access to printers and photocopying machines. There is no cost on first 50 pages.
  • Students are provided with counselling facilities where they can discuss any physical or mental or emotional issues.  
  • NIT provides Health and Care facilities. For any student with disability, necessary arrangements are made.

    Q:   How long are the English Proficiency test scores valid?
    A: 

    English Language Proficiency test scores are only valid if taken within 2 years before applying. These scores are acceptable by NIT as well as the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs. Students must ensure that they provide valid proof so as to increase their chances of getting accepted.

    Q:   Under what circumstances, a student is not eligible to any refund?
    A: 

    The following cases suggest where the refund policy is not applicable.

    • If the student cancels his enrolment after the commencement of course.
    • When NIT cancels student's enrolment due to visa status
    • When NIT cancels student's enrolment due to incorrect information or misconduct
    • Student does not join and not apply for a cancellation
    • Student quits without any written notice
    • Student's visa is cancelled by Australian government
    • Student fails to complete the program.
    Q:   What is the process of a professional year internship program?
    A: 

    Internship is a part of ACS professional year program. NIT has the responsibility of organising and handling the programs. The process to avail an internship is as follows: 

    • Students are briefed about the process, expectations ad required documents.
    • Students will have to sit for the interviews. Maximum of 2 interviews are allowed. (If the student fails in both interviews, he will have to reapply and repay the necessary charges)
    • After getting selected, an agreement will be signed stating all the roles and responsibilities.
    • After all the documentation, internship will begin on the scheduled date. In the middle of the internship, the student will have to review the team focusing on the progress, environment or any challenges.
    • At the end of the internship, student will have to give a final review of all the achievements, growth, strength and if any future goals.
