Requirements for 12th grade

- Applicants must have the following
- Certificate III course satisfactory completion of Year 10 or equivalent
- Certificate IV course - satisfactory completion of Year 11 or equivalent
- Diplomas, Advanced Diplomas, Associate Degree and Bachelor Degree courses - satisfactory completion of Year 12 or equivalent
- The qualifications are recognised as being equivalent to Australian Years 10, 11 and 12 for entry onto our courses. Where a score is not stated in the below table, satisfactory results of 50% minimum is required for all courses with the following exceptions, where 60% minimum is required
- All applicants from India (70% or higher in their top 4 subjects (with at least 3 academic subjects and 1 non-academic excluding native language subject)
- Senior Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) only
- Satisfactory completion of Year 12 including Year 12 Maths, or overseas equivalent or the successful completion of the CIII in Engineering Technical (if no Year 12) or the Diploma of Engineering Technical (if no Year 12 maths background)
- All international students will be required to undertake an Engineering Diagnostic Test during the orientation and induction program at TAFE SA (prior to commencing their course) to demonstrate sufficient and required technical skills for academic success. See course note for more information
