Kwantlen Polytechnic has over 140 various courses on offer that also includes career, technology programs, and vocational trades. The university has over 1,400 faculty and staff. 83% of domestic students’ native language was English and 12% of international students had English as their native language. 71% of domestic students were born in Canada. 94% of students were happy with the quality of instruction, 92% were happy with the education gained, 88% agreed that their education helped them develop skills and 21% opted for further education.

The response of 48% of bachelor’s degree students has been taken into consideration out of 1,444 respondents. The satisfaction rate recorded was 92%, with students stating that the quality of instruction was good or very good. 89% of bachelor’s students had either a part-time or a full-time job. 64% of the employed Humanities graduates had a job which was related to their pursued courses. More than 60% and below 76% of working graduates from Physical Sciences and Math, Social Sciences and Biological Science & Life Sciences had a job which was related to their programs. 84-85% of working graduates each from Business Management, Visual and Performing Arts and Engineering & Applied Sciences had an employment-related to their area of specialisation and 99% of Health graduates had the same.

KPU Average Salary 2021 by Discipline

The overall median annual salary of graduates at Kwantlen Polytechnic was $54,000. The discipline which yielded the highest salary for the graduates was Health with the amount being $73,322. This was followed by Engineering & Applied Sciences with the average salary amount being $62,000. The disciplines at the bottom two which yielded the lowest salary amount were Biological Sciences & Life Sciences at $42,000 and Humanities at $47,402.

The overall median hourly salary for the associate degree holders was $18. The discipline which yielded the highest associate degree median hourly salary was Engineering & Applied Sciences with the amount being $20. This was followed by Business Management and Visual & Performing Arts with both yielding an hourly salary wage of $18. Arts & Science yielded the lowest hourly wage for the graduates with $17.

The university’s career development centre helps students polish their social as well as personal skills, along with confidence, so as to make them industry-ready. Students are offered help with regard to resume building, cover letter writing, contact building, workshops, job and internship search, interactive sessions with professionals, training scholarships, career days, job fests, and much more. Students who have a time constraint but need counselling can interact with career coaches online and get their doubts resolved. They can also acquire skills for interviewing and get their strengths and weaknesses recognized.
