Q:   Do I need to take IELTS for Mount Saint Vincent University?
A: 

Yes, as a part of MSVU application process, the students are required to show English proficiency. 

Students are required to have a four-year bachelor's degree in the relevant field of study from a recognized university or institution with a B average or a GPA of 3.0. English proficiency can be shown by submitting any one of these scores: IELTS with no ban below 6.0 and a score of 86 or higher is required in TOEFL.

Undergraduate Admissions

Students are required to have a high school certificate or Diploma with an average of 70% in any five best academic subjects during the final year of study and at least 65% in core English subjects or any first language. Indian applicants must have received grades of A, B, or C in their Grade 11 and 12 with a minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale. Apart from this, any one of these English exam scores is required as proof of English language proficiency: IELTS/PTE/Duo lingo

Graduate Admissions

Q:   When will I hear back from Mount Saint Vincent University?
A: 

After succesfully submitting application at Mount Saint Vincent University, the studenst receive a desicion within four to six weeks. After which students are requested to pay a security deposit to secure their seat at this university. 

Later the students have to apply for a student visa to Canada. 

After getting the admission confirmation from the Mount Saint Vincent University, the students must arrange all these documents with the VISA fee:

·         Passport

·         Official documents transcripts

·         Provide a provincial attestation letter (PAL) from Ontario's provincial government

·         English Language Proficiency Proofs

·         Proof of Funds certificate

·         Support letter issued by the bank in case of a loan

The VISA application fee for Canada, is CAD 150 (INR 9,114) which is non-refundable in case of a rejection.

Students can live on-campus at MSVU. There are three residence buildings for all students; The Birches, Assisi Hall, and Westwood. An initial deposit of CAD 300 must be paid at the time students complete the application for housing. Once the application has been received, and the room has been assigned, students will be notified by email and required to pay an additional fee of CAD 200. Know the 2023-24 residence fees from the official website. The cost of living in Halifax will be as follows:

Yes, The university charges an application fee of CAD 40 for undergraduate programs and CAD 50 for graduate programs. The application fees are non-refundable.
