History
MSVU was founded in 1873 as Women's College. Then, in 1925, the college became an independent women's college in British Commonwealth. Then, in 1951, degrees were offered in Arts, Home Economics, Nursing, Liberal Science, etc. In 1966, a new charter was granted and the college became Mount Saint Vincent University.
