History
Founded in 1967 when Mr. Fred Harvie, a retired principal from Thorold Secondary High School, created the Facilities Management Services Department. The first president of Niagara College, Dr. George Bowen appointed Mr. Harvie as his special assistant. At the time the college was housed in a single structure known as the "Initial Building." Later on this structure was dubbed the "Hennipin Building."
