Toronto Metropolitan University Highlights

Toronto Metropolitan University is a public research university. It was originally known as the Ryerson Institute of Technology. However, in order to reflect Ryerson’s emergence as full-fledge university, the new name of Ryerson University was approved by the Provincial government.
