St Clair College Admissions 2026: Requirements, Application Deadlines & Fees

St Clair College offers admissions to international students in the Spring, Fall and Winter intakes every year. The Equal Consideration dates for admission are given in the table below:

As an international student, you will be required to have a Canadian Study Permit issued by the Canadian Embassy in order to study in Canada. You can apply for the same only after you have received an acceptance letter from the college.

The following are the minimum eligibility requirements for Indian students:

• High school Diploma and transcripts
• The Canadian Academic English Language (CAEL) 60 with no band below 50
• IELTS 6.0 overall (individual band score not lower than 6.0)
• Pearson Test of English (PTE) Level 51
• Duolingo (Score of 100)

Proficiency test results must not be over two years old from the date of submitting the application.

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old or must have completed either Grade XII or Grade XII equivalent (Some exceptions may apply)
• A certified copy of high school transcripts that have been translated into English

As an international student, you will be required to submit the following documents:

• High school diploma/graduation certificate and XII grade transcripts
• English Proficiency Test results (IELTS/PTE/Duolingo)

If you wish to apply for the Student Partners Program (SPP), you will need to provide English proficiency scores of IELTS 6.0 (with no band lower than 5.5), no older than two years.

If you do not meet the minimum score requirements for TOEFL or IELTS, you will be required to write the English Proficiency Test (CanTEST) after arrival at the college. If you do not pass the CanTEST, you will need to register for the St. Clair College English as a Second Language (ESL) programme before you become eligible for post-secondary programs.

The college charges an application fee of CAD 125 or INR 8K  at the time of filling the application. This fee is standard across all programs.

All payments are accepted through the International Payment Portal using a valid credit card, wire transfer or e-wallet. The portal saves you from the bank fees and exchange rate. You can even track your entire payment progress online.

St. Clair College acceptance rate is 44% which is moderately selective. It accepts 44 out of 100 applicants which means the admission criteria is slightly selective therefore all the applicants are required to submit their best grades. Admission to St. Clair is based on a first-come, first-served basis. However, the college has set minimum level score requirements for English Proficiency tests, based on which your eligibility for the concerned programme will be determined. 

The admission requirements at St. Clair College differs for certificate programs, Bachelors and Graduate certificates. However, general requirements are listed below:

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with a score of 50% or better, or equivalent for UG certificate/diploma
• Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with specific classes and an overall average grade of 65% or better, or  equivalent for Bachelor degree   
• Ontario College Diploma, Ontario College Advanced Diploma, University Degree, or equivalent for PG certificate 
• Proof of English language proficiency through IELTS, TOEFL, or Duolingo
• Study permit to study in Canada

As the applications are accepted through the Ontario Colleges portal, you may hear from St. Clair College the earliest by early February. The college may keep accepting students depending on the number of applications and seats available per program. If accepted, you must respond to your offer letter the latest by early May. In case you miss the deadline, your application may still be considered if your programme of choice has open spots. However, that is up to chance and does not guarantee admission.

St Clair College accepts Indian students only with following requirements fulfilled:

·       High School Diploma and Grade 12 transcript

·       IELTS score with overall 6.0

·       Graduation certificate and transcript or equivalent in original language

·       Proof of English Language proficiency

Yes, St. Clair College offers on-campus facility to its students in two campuses, namely Windsor and Chatham. Windsor has 204, two-bedroom suites that come fully furnished with a kitchenette with microwave and mini-fridge. At Chatham, the college has a 12-unit, 48-student residence. Each unit comes with four bedrooms, a fully-furnished kitchen, living room and two bathrooms.
