Osgoode Hall Law School History
The Osgoode Hall Law School came into existence after the Law Society of Upper Canada decided to establish a law school in the region. Osgoode, named after William Osgoode, an graduate of the Oxford University & barrister of Lincoln's Inn, remained the only law based higher educational institute in the Ontario region, until 1949, when the University of Toronto established its faculty of Law.
