Tips: College is strict in academics. You should follow the rules strictly while doing your assignments and work, and if you would like to avail any scholarship, the college will help you in that. The best place to experience a different number of cultures and traditions.
Likes (Safety): We will be able to access anything through our college student card, so that's a great opportunity, we can explore many things, and we will have possible ways to improve our networking through interacting with people who come from different regions.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): My college professors are friendly and approachable anytime. We will be having a college mail ID. Using this ID, we can contact them any time if we have any issues, and mostly we will be able to sort out all the doubts in the class itself, as they explain everything in detail.

Tips: If you are going to study computing, be prepared to give up part-time work. The course is very practical and requires dedicated study hours. Don't expect easy passing like at other institutions; you need to put in the effort, prepare, and study to succeed.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The course is well-designed with many hands-on portions, sometimes a bit too much even. But it's still good value for money. The teachers are good at what they teach, but each subject has its own unique assessments and assignments that you need to pass individually.
Dislikes (Part time work): My course, M.Sc. in Computing, involved four days of on-campus lectures, numerous projects, and assignments, leaving little time for part-time work. The average hourly pay is around 13, but this varies depending on the workplace and hours worked.

Good college for people who are ready to work hard.
Tips: You might find it difficult to manage part time with studies as they have a tight schedule with assignments and exams. Weekends off can also mean spending time on submissions. Exams are taken seriously hence one would need lot of hard work. You will have study leave and some holidays to enjoy. Faculty members are highly professional and supportive. They prepare you for your career after studying. Overall, I am satisfied with my college.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty were mainly Irish. They were professional and great teachers. They were always happy to help. They were always approachable if you had a question. Most importantly, they taught you how to deal with the professional problems that you might encounter in your career.
Dislikes (Part time work): Part time opportunities depends on the vacancy and your willingness to do any work. Currently the vacancies are less hence some people might find it difficult to get one. Also you might not unnecessarily get the full 20 hours to work in a week hence finding it difficult to earn for your living expenses.

It’s also essential to be prepared for cultural diversity, as the college hosts students from all over the world.
The transition to life at Griffith was overall smooth but came with an initial cultural shift. From classroom behaviour and teaching methods to social customs and communication styles, everything required a period of adjustment. However, the supportive faculty and friendly peers made the process easier. Participating in group projects, workshops, and college events helped me integrate and develop both academically and personally.
I was fortunate to receive a partial merit-based scholarship. The scholarship application was submitted during the admission process, and selection was based on academic performance and a personal statement. The allowance helped reduce tuition fees, which made studying abroad more affordable and manageable.
Overall, I am very satisfied with my experience at Griffith College, both in terms of my course and the country. The curriculum is industry-relevant, the lecturers are knowledgeable, and the campus offers modern facilities. Living in Ireland has been a rewarding experience due to its friendly people, beautiful landscapes, and safety. Griffith has not only enhanced my academic knowledge but also contributed to my personal growth and career readiness.
Likes (Indian Food): Dublin, especially around Griffith College, offers a good range of international food choices, though it may not fully match the authenticity or variety available back home. There are numerous Indian, Pakistani, Chinese, Middle Eastern, and African restaurants within a short distance of the college. These places cater well to the student population, and the food is generally flavorful and satisfying.
Typical restaurants include Indian curry houses, halal takeaway spots, Chinese and Thai noodle bars, and kebab joints. Prices are fairly reasonable for students, with meals usually costing between €8 and €15. There are also more premium restaurants if you're looking for a special treat, where prices can range from €20 to €25 per meal. In addition, fast-food chains and local cafés provide convenient options for a quick bite.
Grocery stores and Asian or ethnic supermarkets like Tesco, Lidl, Eurasia, and Asia Market offer ingredients and spices from various countries, making it easier to cook your own meals if you prefer traditional home-style food. This has been especially helpful in maintaining a sense of comfort and familiarity.
Personally, I prefer cooking at home during the week to save money and eat healthier, but I enjoy dining out on weekends or during social gatherings. The availability of ingredients and dining options allows me to maintain a balanced routine and stay connected to my culinary roots while exploring Irish and international cuisine.
Dislikes (Internships): While Griffith College provides some support in this area, there is still room for improvement in terms of guidance, structure, and opportunities. The Careers Office occasionally shares internship openings through emails and job portals, and they do conduct workshops on CV writing, interview preparation, and LinkedIn optimisation. However, the process of finding and securing internships is largely student-driven.
For international students unfamiliar with the Irish job market, this can be challenging. There is limited one-on-one mentorship or a dedicated placement program for many non-technical or niche postgraduate courses. Guidance is often general and not always tailored to individual industries or specific fields of study.
In my case, while the college shared internship resources, I had to do most of the research and networking independently to find opportunities related to my program. There are some relevant internships available, especially in business, IT, and digital marketing sectors, but students in specialised fields like pharmaceutical sciences or clinical research might struggle to find directly aligned roles unless they proactively search beyond the college's network.
That said, Ireland has a growing job market, and with persistence, it’s possible to find meaningful work experience. Griffith does try to support students, but could strengthen its connections with industry partners and offer more structured internship pathways. This would greatly enhance the practical learning experience and better align with the academic programs offered.

Tips: Always be prepared to work hard because student life will be stressful. You will need to manage lots of assignments and exams. I received a scholarship of 1500 euros. You can approach any of your lectures through your app called Moodle and Outlook, which is very helpful. Most of the classes use real-time examples which give exposure to the current market and industry-level experience. You get lectures from different nationalities and countries. Overall, I'm completely satisfied with my college, which offers great opportunities to explore.
Dislikes (Indian Food): As an Indian, I find many options to eat, but I prefer to cook at home, which gives me the exact taste of our food. I prefer to go to Indian restaurants like Hyderabad Kitchen, Indian Tiffin, and many more, but you mostly find Pakistani and Bangladeshi restaurants.

Griffith College has strong academics and highly knowledgeable faculty.
Tips: There's not much of a cultural shift here. You'll find it very similar to your home country. I got 1,000 euros of scholarship money. As a full-time Master's student, I need to pay attention in class and do well academically. I also make sure that I'm meeting the attendance requirements, which are very important. Because of all of this, I'll probably be at college most days of the week. Fortunately, there are a lot of fun events to attend on campus, like movie parties and Halloween celebrations. There is also a student union that will help us to adjust. I'm completely satisfied with the country more than my college, as it feels like home and provides a lot of comfort and support.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation here is truly great. There's a bus every minute, and a train every ten minutes, which allows you to travel anywhere around the city. There's the Luas and the busses. Travel will run you about one Euro per hour, which is affordable and convenient.

Tips: I received a scholarship for 1500 euros, which is very common. Most students receive scholarships of 1000 to 1500 euros. I think it’s completely justified, the amount we are paying is affordable if we compare it to other countries, and the academics and studies are the best. Every lecture is very supportive and the teachers will help with all academic needs. I am very happy with my choice of courses, which offer a plethora of opportunities. Naturally, there will be some culture shock, but for us, it's exciting to try something new.
Dislikes (Student Life): I spend most of my free time with my friends in our weekly classes at Griffith College. Everyone else is busy with part-time jobs or other stuff. So if we get some time off, we all meet up at college. There are always lots of things happening at college, often organized by Griffith's Student Union.

Tips: Before joining, research campus life, course curriculum, and location. I transition smoothly, adapting to diverse cultures. No cultural shock, but I did learn to be independent. I availed a merit-based scholarship, receiving 20% tuition fee waiver. It took time to get used to, but I enjoy it now. My day is usually spent with a combination of classes, self-study, and extracurricular activities. I enjoy campus events, such as cultural fests, as well as seminars. There are a variety of clubs here, such as debate, sports, etc. I only participate occasionally, though, as I have to balance academic activities with my interests. Overall, I am highly satisfied with the university, course, and country.
Likes (Indian Food): I prefer to cook my own meals. However, sometimes eating out is okay, although otherwise it is hard for students from outside. Some restaurants give offers for students. Indian restaurants tend to be located mainly in the city center, and, according to prices, it's a bit difficult for students there.

Tips: College is good for academic and job opportunities, but adjusting can be tough. The culture, teaching style, and lifestyle are different, and groceries are expensive, making it tough for international students. There are good opportunities for part-time work, though. Some aspects, such as meeting new friends from diverse backgrounds, have been quite enjoyable. Yet, other aspects, like having to attend classes online and in person in the afternoon, have been stressful and boring. Also, I don't like that some days I have to go to college for just two hours. Nonetheless, my favorite parts of being at this college are the freedom and the fun moments I have with my friends. Overall, I am satisfied with my experiences.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): I would love to settle here because there is a work-life balance in this country. They have good job prospects and quality of life compared to other places. For good career growth, a comfortable lifestyle and a better future, this country is good to settle. I would consider settling here if everything aligns well.

Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation is really good in Dublin, especially around the city centers. They have good connections to all of the colleges, and each college has its own bus stop and Luas stop. Colleges provide information to help students with public transportation, such as route planning and how to apply for a Leap Card.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): As of now, there's very little scope for settlement options, because the job market isn't good at all. Even if we get a job, the companies don't sponsor the visa. Many jobs are removed from the critical skills list, which makes it really tough to get stamp 1.

Tips: I got 2,000 euros in scholarship for having 80% in my bachelor's degree. The overall European culture is friendly and heartwarming. Plus, the exams make you a studious, responsible student. The lecturers are very supportive of your academics and are very experienced professionals. You can reach the college's management anytime they are available. Overall, I am completely satisfied with my college and the people of this country are so friendly.
Dislikes (Part time work): After a lot of job hunting, I finally got a part-time job after 6 months. Finding a job can be hard, but if you have references, it's much easier. It's important to start your job search as early as possible, like from the first day. Make sure you give your resume to every college you can.

It is nice for a student to have their Master's and everything. Very welcoming and friendly with top-notch education.
Tips: Griffith College has a good-natured and friendly environment. The faculty is great, and the education is top-notch. They also gave me a scholarship of 2000 euros which is always nice, and they provided high-quality lectures. There are fests and activities on campus, and I suggest that students participate in them as they help with networking and building connections. I am happy to start my M.Sc. in International Business Management here. Overall, I am fully satisfied with my course, university and the country.

The university is good for education and other activities, events and sports.
Tips: In my opinion, before joining any college, students should learn about the school's background, the courses it offers, the course modules and the facilities. They should also check out the campus, the sports activities and events it offers, and any other activities available. Of course, you should also find out how much the courses you're interested in cost. The tuition is valid for this course because my course is Big Data Management and Analytics, so it's a very difficult course, and Griffith College provides this course. Euros will be converted to Indian rupees, which is big money from the India side, but it feels nominal for international students.
Likes (Indian Food): There are so many options for Indian cuisine in Dublin. There are many Indian restaurants, street food vendors, and Indian grocery stores. You can find just about any kind of vegetable, street food, dairy product, and other kitchen ingredients you might want. Best of all, many of these options are affordable. I really love all the food options I have here in Dublin.

SETU Waterford: A supportive and career-focused learning experience.
Tips: Before you join the SETU Waterford, you should know a few things. The program's curriculum is practical and analytics-driven, and the workload requires strong time management skills. It is important to note that the Irish climate is cold and rainy compared to India. Be prepared to take the time to adapt to the weather and local lifestyle. It's also important to know that finding housing can be difficult, especially during peak seasons, so early booking is recommended. Job opportunities are available both on-campus and off-campus, but be aware that you have to be proactive in job hunting. You'll be pleased to learn that Waterford is more affordable than Dublin, but still plan to budget appropriately for rent, food, and transportation. In terms of teaching, you'll find that instruction is more interactive, research-based, and focuses on independent learning. Get ready for common group projects and presentations that emphasize teamwork and communication skills. As an aside, the Irish people are friendly and welcoming, but you might have to adjust your approach. Indian groceries are available, but eating out is expensive, so cooking at home is a good option. I received a 3,000 euros scholarship based on my Duolingo score. This scholarship was awarded as a tuition fee waiver and helped reduce the financial burden of studying abroad. Apart from this, students can apply for: Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships offers a stipend of 10,000 euros and a full tuition waiver. SETU provides partial tuition fee waivers based on academic merit. Overall, I am satisfied with my experiences.

However, these jobs are highly competitive and not always available for everyone. Most students find part-time work off-campus, mainly in: Retail e.g., SuperValu, Dunnes Stores, Tesco, Hospitality e.g., McDonald’s, KFC, Subway, local cafés and restaurants, Warehouse & Logistics e.g., Packaging, deliveries, Amazon, grocery stores, or Cleaning & Housekeeping e.g., Hotels, hostels, Airbnbs. Some students also take freelance work in IT, tutoring, or content writing. Balancing work and studies can be challenging but doable, depending on the job. The minimum wage in Ireland in 2025 is 13.50 euros per hour. Most student jobs pay between 13.50 – 14.50 euros per hour, with some tipping-based roles like waitressing earning more.

The infrastructure is not so good but the professors are very helpful and friendly.
Tips: I've felt like I've known the college since I joined SETU. There wasn't any cultural difference on campus, but I did notice some cultural difference outside the campus. That's common, though. I received a scholarship from the college that significantly reduced the amount I had to pay for tuition. When it comes to safety, I am very much satisfied with it. Apart from campus security, when you come out of campus to explore places without any safety concern, we have Gaurda (police) who facts quickly when the situation turn bad. Mostly the people are cool, so there is no need to worry about safety. When I had to work, I worked until 3 a. m. , and after work I had to walk for an hour to get home. I enjoy walking home and it's easy to walk home at that time without any fear. Overall, I am moderate satisfied with my experiences.
Dislikes (Value for money): I don't think the modules which we are studying are that in-depth. They are just very easy to learn, and I could also learn them without a professor. I think I paid more tuition feels for this kind of modules, and it is far below the standards.

It is a good university, and they provide the educational resources that are industry relevant.
Tips: There is no culture change here, but you can apply for a scholarship of up to 4,000 euros. I am pleased with the university and its professors. In the coming days, getting a part-time job will be much more difficult because too many students are coming to Ireland. This is the main reason for the part-time shortage in Ireland currently. Many new students are struggling to find part-time work. It will take up to 3 months to find a part-time job. If you have skills and a little bit of English-speaking skills, you can easily get a job here. I've seen more Indians in the IT field than Irish because skill is important in every job and opportunity. Learn a skill before applying for a job. It's not the best in Ireland, but overall, it is a good school with plenty of educational resources.

Easy going college with no issue with attendance. You can do part-time and make a lot of money during the course.
Cheap and the best, however, Dublin has opportunities in terms of professional jobs as compared to Waterford if you can spend some extra money go to Dublin.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation in Waterford is quite good. Being a small city a lot of buses run from the city centre however, you need to get a student leap card online that will cost you very cheap public transport so get a leap student card as soon as you land.
Dislikes (Indian Food): For food, if you know how to cook it will be best for you and would be really cheap however if you order or go out it will be expensive. Please learn cooking else you will save nothing here. Especially for vegetarians, life is difficult if you don't know how to cook.

A place to shape your career
Tips: We might face a little cultural difference at first but we get used to it. The people around are quite friendly. I have learned to be independent and manage my expenses. We have a very good work-life balance here.
The course I opted for didn’t have any scholarship. The university is good. You will get to learn a lot. Although the weather in Ireland is a bit gloomy. Be ready to experience all the seasons in a single day.
Likes (Quality of faculty): You can reach to faculty any time over calls or mails. They try to rectify students' doubts. The study is mostly practical based so the understanding of the concepts is clear. The faculty are majority Irish, and their accent is a little difficult to catch at first but you will get used to it.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Ireland doesn’t have many India restaurants and the ones that are present are comparatively very high. A biryani would be more than 20 euros.
Baguettes are one of the cheapest options you can find here (€5). I would prefer to cook at home and eat mostly at home.

Waterford Institute of Technology has a diverse campus life.
Tips: After moving you will find yourself living independently and learning to speak fluently without any hesitation. Also, would suggest meeting new people and joining cultural clubs which would help out a lot. You can also participate in sports events which are held here semi-annually.
Likes (Safety): Many international students from different parts of the world and diversities study here at Carlow campus. Locals are very friendly and racism or hate crime is a very rare phenomenon here. Campus authorities and local people help out a lot which makes it easier.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Common industries in Waterford include healthcare, education, manufacturing, and technology but preferential treatment is given to candidates. Also, lots of scope is there after engineering and IT but you will have to work out and search a lot to get the best company offering you PSW visa.

Best at Public transportation.
Tips: It's a good decision if you have opted to come here, it's a good opportunity and the college is really nice. The campus is really beautiful. There are well-connected bus routes to the college so travelling is not a hassle. There are a lot of sports and club activities which will keep you indulged throughout the semester.
Likes (Public transportation): Its very well connected. There are cycles for public everywhere around the city where you can rent them around the campus as well. So that's a good option and apart from that the bus routes are well connected and the timings are also good so you can make use of them.
Dislikes (Indian Food): The food is not similar to what we get in India, you will have to sacrifice here. The food here is expensive. From a student's perspective, it's very difficult to buy food from Indian shops because it's expensive. The canteen food is also not priced at a level where you can have a meal there regularly.
