A Truly Global Experience with Opportunities Beyond the Classroom - For Those Made to Do
Tips: Moving to Hult was definitely a massive adjustment at first, but it honestly turned out to be an incredible experience. The main thing anyone coming here needs to know is that the environment is super international and fast-paced. You’re going to meet people from literally everywhere, which is amazing, but it also means you’ve got to be proactive about making friends, joining clubs, and putting yourself out there. Since I’d already lived in Dubai, transitioning to London was pretty smooth for me, but there was still a bit of a culture shock. People out here are way more independent, communication is super direct, and everyone expects you to take the initiative with your classes and career stuff. Honestly, just learning how to work with so many different cultures and perspectives was easily one of the best parts of the whole deal. On the financial side, I managed to snag a few merit scholarships when I applied. The criteria changes depending on the person, but for me, they looked at my overall profile, my goals, and my past grades. Looking back, I’m really happy with my course, Hult, and life in the UK in general. Beyond the actual classes, getting to work on real corporate projects, network with industry professionals, and run student clubs gave me a massive international network. At the end of the day, you get out what you put into it, but if you're willing to actually hustle and grab the opportunities, Hult is an amazing place to grow.
Likes (Student Life): I'd say student life was great because of clubs and options of things to do around the area as well. I would say one of the most fun things was being able to start your own clubs or join different events. I was very active in the student community. We have three different types of clubs: social, professional, and sports and each has a huge number of clubs under each. If there was ever a club that didn't exist, you could start it yourself. For example, I ran the music club. I built it up from the ground up with my friends, and we had a fantastic time. We made it an open space where people could come and jam and play music and have fun together. The openness and collaborativeness was one of the most fun things. Then I would say, also in terms of events, we have a mix: * Clubs organize their own events. * The student body organizes their events. * The careers team organizes their own events as well. Many of these events will become collaborations. For example, a club and the careers team organize one together, so they do a lot of company visits where you get to visit different companies, get to know the people there, see what it's like, and even get interviews through that. here are also other kinds of events, like off-campus trips and MUN stuff. It's a solid mix, so there's pretty much something for everyone. Plus, if what you want doesn't exist, you can always just start it up yourself, and the uni will actually give you a budget to make it happen.
Dislikes (Indian Food): So London has plenty of cuisines and amazing food options; it's just more varied in terms of quality vs. cost. Let's say in India/Dubai there are so many places where the food tastes incredible and prices aren't too bad either, while here you have good spots, but they're more spread out and take some research/trial to find the good ones. I prefer a mix; I love to cook myself at home and for friends, but many times it's fun to go out and explore new places.

The college is truly amazing, with its curriculum and emphasis on real-life learning.
Tips: The cultural shift for me was easy as I am an extrovert but for introverts, I would suggest staying outdoors for maximum time even after college because it would be easy to get homesick. Scholarships are available when you apply for admission and based on your academic progress. Apart from campus security, they provide emergency contact support, a student service team, and safety information sessions. Although the city has a crime rate like phone snatching, it's important to stay alert on the streets when using a phone or keep your wallet safe.
Likes (Indian Food): Pizza Union, Devi Dhaba, Salt Restaurant, Bomay Darbar. I used to prefer some days eating out during the week as well; there's a mix of availability. In terms of food pricing, there are cheap and expensive options. Some of my favourite places include small eateries where you can get a meal box for 5-9 pounds.

Best place to find part time jobs.
Tips: Hult is a triple accredited business school. It gives an excellent education with fabulous faculty services. They all are very supportive and responsive. I got admitted for Bachelors of business administration. However, they are well known for its MBA degree programs.
Likes (Part time work): It is easy to find a part-time job here than in India. You can easily earn with your job for your livelihood, if you are talented, you will not face any difficulty. In fact you will be doing well here. You'll be enjoying and loving your life with all its comforts.
Dislikes (Safety): Overall the campus has a good environment and is really cool place to live. Boston is a beautiful city but for around six to seven months you'll find winters here. So you have to keep your body heated and take care of it a lot in this chilly enovironment.

EDHEC is a strong gateway for Indian students to build a career in Europe.
Tips: EDHEC is an amazing option if you want to have a career in Europe. France is one of the lucrative options for Indian students looking to study abroad. I would suggest to have some foundation courses prepared before you start the M.Sc. courses. That would make your academic life way easier. If you manage to learn french (at least professional level), you will have almost no issue finding a job. Cultural shift is not too hard to adjust to in the early ages. The only issue is language which is manageable if you prepare in advance. There are plenty of scholarship opportunities when you study in France (Charpak, Eiffel, etc.). I used the same application for Charpak as I used for the university and got the scholarship. You should definitely apply for the scholarships.
Likes (Student Life): Most of the time was spent on studying as the course was short and intensive. However, Nice as a student-city does offer plenty of activities like hiking, trekking, or partying during weekends and holidays. The Campus does try to organise some local and cultural specific events (Diwali, etc.). There are many student clubs and communities as well which offer really good networking and learning opportunities but in the end, if the course is super intensive you do not get to spend a lot of time in it. Students in MIM courses (and specially Lille Campus) have the luxury to make the best out of it.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Nice has a really great food scene but if you're specifically craving Indian food then the options are pretty limited compared to a massive city like Paris. On the bright side, there are tons of amazing, cheap spots for African and Middle Eastern food. For proper Indian flavors, you usually end up having to cook it yourself—which isn't too bad since there are a few Indian grocery stores right in the city center. Otherwise, your only real bet is hitting up the local 'Indian' restaurants, though most of them are actually run by Pakistani, Nepali, or Bangladeshi owners.

A friendly and academic-oriented experience.
Tips: Students are going to get the best experience possible if they try to relax and learn a little French before coming. I also had a scholarship through my university, which gave me a 10,000 EUR discount on my tuition fees. I think the most unique aspect is their blend of practical and theoretical learning. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experience.
Likes (Safety): I have a strong network within the college and study there daily. I've joined two student associations, TEDx and Open Up. I most enjoy the social aspect and friendships. There are events throughout the year, whether festivals, soirees, or special events, and they are all great.
Dislikes (Student Life): The faculty are very well-qualified and always available to help. They have a good study curriculum. While most teachers are French, they have extensive international experience and speak English well.

Intense courses, active campus life, and early scholarship wins.
Tips: If you're considering applying do it early. The university has strict deadlines for scholarship applications, and applying before March significantly increases your chances. In fact, almost everyone who applies before this date receives one. The courses are rigorous and demand independent preparation. Don't expect an easy pace you'll need to research topics in advance to get the most out of your classes. Make it a habit to read textbooks from the library and watch YouTube lectures. The campus stays vibrant well into the evening, with students around until at least 8 p.m. most days. There's always something going on, whether it's study groups, events, or casual meet-ups.
Likes (Post study jobs): Most companies offer visa sponsorship but the job market is competitive, so expect to send out hundreds of applications before getting a response. Many roles require at least some French, but the university offers language classes to help, and reaching B1 from a beginner level is very achievable. The career centre also provides strong support with CVs, job searches, and interview preparations.
Dislikes (Part time work): The academic workload is intense so most students choose not to take up part time jobs. I am not aware of any on-campus opportunities, but there are restaurants and bars nearby where you can find work. The college doesn't place any restrictions on part time employment as long as it doesn't interfere with your studies.

It is a great university with a diverse faculty and a beautiful campus.
Tips: You need to know French. This is the only requirement if you want equal opportunities as other students. It is not a good-to-have requirement. I emphasise that students who do not speak or understand the language should refrain from applying to the institution.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty is extremely helpful to international students, they are very responsive and do care about the welfare of the students. You can always write to them or book an appointment at the office for any issues. Their measure to ensure student needs are well looked after is very high.
Dislikes (Safety): The campus is located in a town outside of Lille called Roubaix, due to the high concentration of immigrants the city is not safe for children. There have been several instances of theft and being held at knifepoint for money. It is not recommended to step out alone after dark as the streets are not safe but if you live in Lille then it is okay.

EDHEC is swiftly rising up the ranks because of the student career centre.
Tips: I recommend learning basic French before attending EDHEC Business School. While it's possible to get by without French, it's the only way to fully integrate into French culture. EDHEC offers many scholarships, which are easy to apply for and receive. I've received multiple job offers even before graduation because of EDHEC's reputation in France.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty both visiting and permanent are Masters of their fields. The pedagogy is to learn while you're practicing, so you understand concepts rather than mugging them. The faculty is very approachable and you can meet them anytime with an appointment. They are very diverse and are from all around the world.
Dislikes (Part time work): If you don't speak French, it's difficult to find part-time jobs off campus. However, on campus you can apply for TA positions and internships that pay well. If you don't speak French, you can work in Indian restaurants off campus, which pay around 100-150.

EDHEC Business School has everything to offer to your personal & professional growth.
Tips: Students should be open to exploring people, food, culture, etc. Your cohort will be diverse and will be equally talented as you. Be open to learning new things, on a professional and personal level. Double down on your French language proficiency. Although you will be all right speaking English to integrate better within the campus and the city, make a serious effort to learn French. This will help boost your professional side as well during the job interviews.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation is very convenient to get by in and around the city. There are buses, tramways, and metros to help you travel seamlessly. Also, one single transport card would be sufficient to travel anywhere in the Lille metropolitan area. With the student discount available on the transport card, it is the most optimal way to go.
Dislikes (Indian Food): No issues, particularly if you cook your food. When planning to eat out, although there are several Indian restaurants in Lille, the taste will not be close to what you might be used to eating back home. A majority of the Indian restaurants here are run by people from our neighbouring countries, so if you go there expecting an authentic taste of Indian food, you might be disappointed. That being said, those are the only options, so you might try them as well.

The college is good but lacks in providing student life.
Tips: French people are nice here, they can be a bit among themselves but if you make the effort, they can be nice to you. I got the EDHEC 15% scholarship, almost like everyone else in my batch. I am satisfied, it was what I expected, and it taught me things I am thankful for.
Likes (Indian Food): I was able to find Indian food at several restaurants in the area. The prices were a bit of a shock, but I was able to find what I was looking for. The grocery stores only had Chole (Pois Choices) and Rajma (Haricots), but I was able to find some Indian and Asian stores that had a wider selection.
Dislikes (Student Life): The sports facilities are reserved for French students. The slots provided always crash with mandatory French classes for international students. On raising this issue with authorities, was told to focus on learning French, as apparently, sports are not important enough.

Tips: Before joining EDHEC, students should know that there is a language barrier and that they'll be studying in an international environment. You will get to learn a lot about business and diverse cultures.
Tips: Students should know that learning French should be a priority. Be prepared for a new experience in your academic life. It's different from India's academic structure. Coming from India, you would find everything expensive here, so you should learn how to cook, especially if you are a Vegetarian.
Likes (Public transportation): Good connections of bus, tram and metro. Lille is very cheap, you can buy monthly travel passes which could cost around 20-30 Euros. They are also safe and convenient. For students it is very cheap and the best mode of transportation. City Mapper and Google Maps, work well for assistance.
Dislikes (Internships): The guidelines given by the Career Centre were good but there is a huge language barrier in France. You should start connecting with your seniors and other alumni. They will give proper guidance on how Indians can land an internship in France or Europe.

The student life at EDHEC is great.
Tips: Students should be aware of the importance of knowing the French language and how people meet and greet in general is different. The school does provide scholarships for 10-50% of the total tuition fees. I am feeling optimistic about the opportunities that the school and the country provide and feel happy with the experience so far.
Likes (Internships): Almost every Indian that I know have received internships in good brands and the career centre did help us a lot to receive the internship. The internships vary from consulting to banking to marketing and also human resources, the opportunities are endless but we just have to understand a bit about the right door to knock at.
Dislikes (Part time work): There was a huge language barrier, as my knowledge of the language was limited, the opportunities for part-time jobs were less, and the school did not provide any part-time jobs/research opportunities from their side. Also, the part-time work schedule would be a bit clashing with the timings of classes.
