Finding a job in the UK is very difficult due to high competition and limited opportunities.
Tips: While the university is good, know how to get take most out of it. Attend lectures, talk to professors, and take guidance from them. In addition, start applying for jobs at least 3 to 4 months before the end of your course. Employers take time to reply, and there are many applicants.
Likes (Value for money): The university is amazing and has free bus transportation. Also, the student accommodation is good, where you share the kitchen space but can get an en-suite room. You can access a common room to spend time with your friends and do your assignments. Overall, Kingston is an amazing place.
Dislikes (Internships): Finding a job in the UK is very difficult due to high competition and limited opportunities. To succeed, you have to tailor your CV, talk to people, and be active on LinkedIn. If you are seeking part-time employment, you must carry your resume with you when you visit random stores and ask if there are any available jobs.

No big companies hire interns, especially students.
Tips: Use your network of important people, as that is the only way you are going to get a job. Forget big companies and go wherever is going to work best, save what you can, and travel if you have extra money. One thing that I regret not doing was travelling while I worried about jobs and everything. Just live life and you'll figure it out.
Likes (Public transportation): Great transportation as there is connectivity everywhere and it's way economical and convenient, as Uber and a car cost as much as people’s groceries for a week. Be aware of areas you should not visit, especially by public transportation, as those areas are very unsafe. The rest is great. Get a student Oyster card, as it saves 40% of the cost. Don’t use a bank card, as they don’t have a spending cap. A 40% discount is a lot; that’s about 1,000 pounds per year.
Dislikes (Internships): No one gives internships. No big companies hire interns, especially students, as they do not hire students who are only allowed to work 20 hours. And guess what, we are not allowed to work more than 20 hours. That is something you need to understand before you go. It's not demotivating, but it's a taste of reality.

College provides a portal where you can see and apply for internships.
Tips: Make sure you have relevant experience; otherwise, you'll struggle to find a job post studies. I saw that most students were coming to the UK without having proper preparation. Those students struggle a lot with part-time and full-time jobs. If you are not planning to work in the UK, your purpose is only to complete studies, then it's okay to come to Kingston.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transport was easily available. Even college has its own buses, which makes commuting very easy for students. You can apply for a student Oyster card to make your travel cheaper and faster. My personal monthly expenditure on transport was below 100 pounds.
Dislikes (Internships): Internships were not offered, and the one that I managed to find on my own was not suitable with my visa restrictions of 20 hours a week. College does provide a portal where you can see and apply for internships, but those internships are very restricted because of the visa restrictions.

A supportive and enriching journey at Kingston University.
Tips: Before coming to Kingston University, I think it's important for students to know that while the university is welcoming and diverse, moving to a new country can feel overwhelming at first. Being open to new experiences and reaching out for support, whether from professors, classmates, or student services, makes a big difference. The transition for me had its ups and downs. I definitely felt a cultural shift, things like how casually people interact with professors, or how independent learning is expected here. But over time, I adapted and started to really enjoy it. I didn't get a scholarship myself, but there are quite a few available. Most are based on academic merit or financial need, so it's worth applying early and carefully following the requirements. Overall, I'm genuinely happy with my choice. The course content is strong, the campus life is lively, and living in the UK has given me a lot of personal and academic growth.
Likes (Student Life): Kingston University offers a vibrant, supportive, and diverse environment. My typical day includes lectures, study sessions at the library, and hanging out with friends by the riverside. What I enjoy most is the balance between academics and social life, as there's always something happening on campus. We have regular events like cultural festivals, career fairs, open mic nights, and wellbeing workshops. I try to participate as often as I can; it's a great way to meet people. The campus has a wide range of clubs, from photography and dance to business and sustainability - there's something for everyone.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): While the UK does offer structured pathways to permanent residence, the process can be lengthy, complex, and often uncertain due to frequent policy changes. My chances of permanent settlement would depend heavily on securing long-term employment and meeting visa criteria, which can be competitive. Given the opportunity, I would definitely consider settling in the UK. I appreciate the cultural diversity, professional opportunities, and quality of life. But the decision would also depend on stability in immigration policies and long-term personal goals.

The university is good, the faculty are sweet yet unpredictable.
Tips: The college offers scholarships to students with financial difficulties. I wasn't qualified for it, so I didn't apply. But my time at Kingston was a life-changing experience. I transitioned in a lot of ways, not just because I was at Kingston, but because it's a new country of living for me. So from independent living to studying and figuring out everything on my own, I changed as a person in my thoughts and personality and gained more confidence, plus learned a lot about the Western culture as well.
Likes (Public transportation): The campus has its own bus service, which is great. There is an app for it, and one can see its schedule. The bus connects the campus to all the important city centre places and to the other campuses as well. It's free, hygienic, and a service that not many other universities provide.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): The faculty was approachable and accessible only during work hours because one can have queries anytime. The teaching methodology is good, with a mix of theoretical and practical work that provides good exposure and mental stimulation to prepare you for the real world. However, I thought the faculty was not very diverse in terms of nationality. There were Indian professors and some of Indian origin, but apart from the local British faculty, there weren't many others, or perhaps my department didn't have many.

I feel that Kingston University is a platform to upskill your career.
Tips: I suggest the students first make sure to apply early so that you will get the offer from Kingston University early. I also recommend to choose the student's campus accommodation in the University itself which is safe and cheaper rather than apartment.

This University has given me a platform to be successful in life.
Tips: I recommend the students to find the accommodation early as soon as they get the admit from the University. The on-campus accommodation is a good choice without any hassle. If your preference is on campus accommodation then book it as soon as possible without being late.
Likes (Part time work): I must say the quality of life in the campus of Kingston University is amazing. We can do lots of fun activities apart from classes. We do have many activities to do and all the international students from different countries share their thoughts and are friendly.
Dislikes (Student Life): The quality of faculty at Kingston University is really amazing and I would rate 5 out of 5. The faculty is research oriented and they teach the syllabus in an understanding manner. The way of faculty here is research and practical oriented and they also help students in many aspects.

A good college and recommended college for engineering.
Tips: You never have to look back once you join the field. There are no caste discriminations.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): The state offers you a high paid salary job and offers you to stay and work there. You get paid high with all the accomodations for free. Less hours of job and salary.
Dislikes (Safety): I felt to give 4 star because every one has their own opinion. There are no such activity that concerns your safety. Everyone is busy with his or her own life no one cares about other.

It has been a rewarding and challenging experience.
Tips: The faculty is excellent, and the course design is fun. You get all the help you need and the city is beautiful. However, it was also a little expensive. That said, there are lots of great opportunities. There’s also a scholarship available for 35,000. It’s based on your essay and your academics.

The university is good. You shoud explore the city and be part of clubs.
Tips: Before you start university, be prepared to join societies and talk to new people. It will take time to adjust, so don't expect a glorious picture in the first few days. To get the most out of your university experience, explore different parts of the UK and get a part-time job. This will help you get out of your comfort zone and experience new things.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty are amazing and really helpful. They are always approachable and keep a close eye on their students. They encourage students to talk to different people and join different societies. They also make sure that your mental health is fine at all times.
Dislikes (Value for money): It is definitely very expensive in comparison to the support from the university. The faculty is helpful but the money charged by the university does not compensate for it. It is a good university but you lead your own life. University lets people explore their own paths.

Great college experience; the transportation is affordable and accessible.
Tips: Students should budget carefully for expenses, utilise academic support, book accommodation options early, engage in societies, sports and events, engage with local customs and backgrounds, and develop time management and study skills. I have experienced high satisfaction with academies & facilities.
Likes (Safety): Bath is one of the safest cities in the UK. Being a student-friendly city public transport is quite accessible and out-of-campus accommodations are all provided with security vans. Personally, I never experienced any bad sightings in the city, but always be careful.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): I believe throughout my time at the University, I never faced issues with accessibility & approachability of the faculty, they were all really helpful. As far as teaching methodology is concerned, it's quite different from how we are taught in India and I found practical learning more useful than theoretical cramming.

Great exposure and new exciting beginnings!
Tips: Definitely a cultural shift. Become more financially independent. Better work environment and work-life balance. Good comfort of living but expensive. Great opportunities but a competitive job market. On a scale of 10, I am 8 satisfied with the university and course. As for the country itself, I would say 7 as weather, standard of living, and expenses can be overwhelming if you do not have an income.
Likes (Value for money): Great faculty with post-study placement support. The tuition fee is high generally but lesser compared to other universities offering anything similar or better. They offer opportunities for internships with companies they have ties with which is a great kickstart for our professional journey. Also provides lots of activities and programmes to engage with industry experts which opens new doors.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Less Indian shops. eg Mantra. Can explore foods from other cultures. Bath being a tourist city can be expensive at times. 1 meal can cost somewhere around 7 to 15 pounds and for a student may be least affordable on a day to day basis. I ate outside on weekends but other times cooked as the class schedule wasn't very tight. Rest can be adjusted from your place of work part-time restaurants etc.

A good sensed, liberal and a holistic university
Tips: This is an underdog university. The faculty, life and part time jobs are fun-loving in nature. People are liberal and so safe in the city. The modules are also career oriented. There is a good M.Sc. careers department which helps the students in enhancing their employability opportunities.

University of Bath - An Amazing Place to Study!
Tips: Be prepared to work on yourselves as an individual. University in general is quite different from school, there is no one that can improve your performance apart from yourself. The resources at Bath are endless, from fantastic faculty, employment help, award-winning societies and so much more. Use all of the resources available to you! It will pay off. Faculty are on stand-by to help students with literally whatever they need, students just need to make themselves open to learning and willing to work on themselves.
Likes (Safety): Bath is an incredibly safe city and the university is even safer still. Security is on call 24/7 and responds within minutes. There is an app (SafeZone) that has easy accessibility to security with just a press of a button. Security even extends off-campus and has picked up students from the city center when they are unable to travel on their own.
Dislikes (Public transportation): Unibus between the city center and the university isn't the best. The buses are often late, fully cramped and there are strikes often.
It isn't too much of a hassle but often is a bit annoying, especially for students living off-campus and for travel during off-term times.
