MSc Advanced Marketing Management - Batch of 2025

It is a beautiful campus with lots of events.
Tips: It's a great campus with a lot of facilities, but just be sure about one thing that this is a place which is a bit deserted, not a proper city like, otherwise everything is good. And if you get a scholarship for your course, that's a big win situation. People are friendly and love to socialise. Feel free to reach out to faculty in case of any doubts. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.

Accounting and Financial Management MSc - Batch of 2025
2.9
Intense course at Lancaster University.
Tips: The course is excellent, but the faculty doesn't meet the expected standards. Each term is three months long, but they cover the material in just two. Classes are six hours a day, plus assignments and frequent tests. All major exams are handwritten, with two 50-mark questions on the final, and grading is very strict. Around 30% of students fail. You have to manage your health, diet, and the climate; it's a challenging environment, not easy at all. They expect dissertation quality at a Ph.D. level.
Likes (Part time work): There are plenty of part-time jobs available, catering to various interests and skills. As international students, we are limited to 20 hours per week, and Lancaster University offers sufficient opportunities to meet this visa requirement.
Dislikes (Internships): Firstly, the university provides insufficient support for internships in the M.Sc. in Accounting and Financial Management program. While there are career fairs, they are not tailored for accounting students, and undergraduate students seem to be prioritised over Master's students.

The faculty is excellent, providing support at every stage.
Tips: The Lancaster University Bailrigg Centre is a vibrant campus with a large sports centre and five colleges, some for postgraduate and others for undergraduate students. Be energetic and excited to visit; the fun lasts a long time.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Student life at Lancaster University's Bailrigg Centre is amazing, with numerous cafes on campus. The campus life is very pleasant; students can take walks to breathe fresh air in the mornings and evenings, promoting a healthy lifestyle.
Dislikes (Indian Food): The faculty is excellent, providing support at every stage. They offer personal drop-in sessions to help students concentrate on their studies and achieve good grades. They are also very interested in getting to know their students.

Accounting and Financial Management MSc - Batch of 2025
4.1
Leaving your comfort zone to experience the beautiful journey.
Tips: It is very important to get information about travel routes at the time of first arrival in the UK. A student must know how to take a train from Manchester to Lancaster. Walk for a few minutes from Lancaster railway station to Common Garden Street. Take a bus from Common Garden Street to Lancaster University, only buses numbers 100/1A/41/42. Arrive at the Underpass or Management school bus stop, then it's a walkable distance to their college porters. I got a scholarship of 5000. Lancaster University will automatically apply the scholarship if the grades are eligible. Overall, I am very satisfied with my course and university. It is a very intense course. I learned a lot; however, when it comes to placement, I am neutral.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation, like buses and trains, is very accessible here. There's a bus app, Stagecoach, where you can track live buses, bus numbers, timings, and duration. Also, if your bus or train is stuck due to a technical issue, the team takes responsibility to drop passengers to their location by arranging another mode of transportation. In the case of trains, sometimes, due to delays and issues, the ticket price is fully refunded, even after they drop you off.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The UK has quite limited options of getting permanent settlement compared to other countries. It is mandatory required first to get sponsored job then there are chances of applying for Indefinite leave to remain. Yes, if the right career opportunity comes I will surely apply for permanent residence here.

MSc Logistics & Supply Chain Management - Batch of 2025
2.7
My experience at the university has been both academically rigorous and personally rewarding.
Tips: Before joining this college, students should know that academic expectations are high and independent learning is strongly encouraged. The transition can be challenging initially, especially when adapting to a new culture and its cultural norms, but a supportive environment makes it more manageable. The university is quite diverse and is very student-friendly. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty of our department are highly knowledgeable and experienced. They also bring strong academic and industry perspectives to the classroom. They are generally approachable and are very responsive to student queries via office hours or emails. Additionally, the faculty are fairly diverse.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): If needed, I believe I could work towards meeting the necessary requirements for permanent settlements, especially through skilled employment pathways. While the process can be competitive and dependent on Visa eligibility, I would be confident in building a strong profile over time.

The current job market is horrible here in the UK.
Tips: I have upskilled myself in my field. Recently, our team won 2 consecutive CTF events in UK Lancashire and Yorkshire CTF events. I was also part of the team. Once you decide to move to any place, you should be ready to embrace cultural changes, sometimes it might be a shock but again it's us who opted for it. There are multiple scholarships, but if you have decent academics, you can avail 10,000 pounds scholarship easily.
Likes (Quality of faculty): I am in the School of Computing Science and Technology Department. The faculty of this department are very knowledgeable and have multiple research papers; some of them are pioneers in their field like CNN, Derpfake and Data Mining. The best part about this university is that they give you ample time to complete your assignments, and you can always reach out to professors with your doubts. The faculty is quite diverse, with teachers from India, Russia, Greece, Britain, Middle Eastern countries and other Southeast Asian countries.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The current job market is horrible here in the UK. Lancaster is a very small place, and no tech jobs are available here. However, there are plenty of jobs available for marketing and core software development, but you need patience and good skills to land a job. The new tax rules and the high cost of living are going to make it very hard for a middle-class income stream to survive in the UK. There are hidden taxes as well like water tax, society tax, council tax which makes it hard to save any penny. Based on my experience, the UK is good for a few years, but I would opt out myself from setting down here.

Samir’s experience at Lancaster.
Tips: I took some time to adjust due to massive changes in weather as well as culture. I did receive a scholarship from my state government for the program. I was fairly satisfied with my course and university. The faculty members are really helpful and ready to help.
Likes (Value for money): The faculty and resources are worth the money spent. The course is very intense and will not give to time to sit and relax. Apart from curriculum, it does teach you a lot of things. The one-year program helps in developing your soft skills. Also, the career team is also really helpful.
Dislikes (Internships): As it is just a 1-year master's program, you don’t get enough time to do an internship. Also, the department does not allow due to time constraints. Some programs do provide a chance to work on industrial projects instead of research projects but that varies from program to program.

Getting exposure for a job and internship in your study course is very difficult.
Tips: The university and faculty members are good; whenever we need their assistance, they are there to assist us. If you think that you will earn while learning, that will not be possible here, like in some other countries. But if you have made up your mind to study, then this is a good university. The course I am still doing, and based on the theoretical knowledge alone, I think no law firm will take me here. Overall, it has been a good experience to be a part of the University of East Anglia.
Likes (Safety): Safety is not an issue for me. I have never faced any issue till today. Here on campus as well as off campus, you can easily go out at any time, anywhere. Safety-wise, it's a good city. No one cares about or judges you, whatever or wherever you want to go and do. People are also calm and polite. No one pokes you or says anything if you are going alone, either. Safety is good. The majority of places have CCTV cameras, and police patrolling can be seen as well. Especially on weekends, there's police presence near pubs, clubs, and on main roads. I have not heard any nuisance related to safety till now.
Dislikes (Part time work): It's really manageable to work off-campus. Time management is never a problem for me. But the first three months after reaching the UK, it's difficult to get work. I approached everywhere but couldn't find it. On campus, I applied but couldn't find any work. The average payout is 12 pounds per hour. It depends company to company and where you are working. I think the UK has to generate more job opportunities for students who are coming in the hope of exploring their professions and getting international exposure. Here, getting exposure and/or a job and internship in your study course is very difficult. I met with many students and people who are working post-study. The majority have not utilised their studies as they are not getting a job in their field, and after many rejections, they do any work to earn basic expenses.

The university is great and provides good internship opportunities.
Tips: Before joining the University of East Anglia for an M.Sc. in business and management students should be aware of the diverse and inclusive campus culture. Transitioning to UEA often involves adjusting to a collaborative and research-oriented environment. Many students experience a cultural shift, and new perspectives and lifestyles scholarships are available. I received one by applying to the universities on online portals with allowances covering some part of my tuition fee. Overall, I'm highly satisfied with UEA's academic rigour faculty and the vibrant city of Norwich, making it a great choice for international students.

Beautiful campus, and great faculty. A huge library and a great student support team.
Tips: Prefer to stay on the University campus, it is easy to attend classes and you will not be disturbed by the unnecessary hustle-bustle of landlords. Please be prepared with your finance (university fees + at least 6 months of expenses) and do not rely on getting this sorted with a part-time job.
Likes (Safety): The City of Norwich is safe and peaceful with ample security, and almost zero crime rate and you even girls will not hesitate to walk even on the dark road at 2 AM. Transportation is available till midnight and it is easy to commute from one place to another.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Getting sponsorship post-PSW is a challenge as it becomes difficult for organisations to prove your worth, especially for general courses like engineering and management. PSW is for two years and you need to prove your worth in that period to get the sponsorship. The research field has better chances for settlement.

Good future after studying here.
Tips: Come to study, do not just focus on work, learn from faculty and network well. Build your local knowledge and communication skills. Also, try to work in the field of your experience, that will be really helpful. Also, meet people from different countries and network.
Likes (Internships): You get jobs and networking opportunities easily. Also, if you are smart and have a good command over language then you can really establish yourself. Make sure to come here with good written, spoken and listening skills in the language as it is helpful.
Dislikes (Public transportation): At night, it is difficult to travel. There are very limited travel options, however, if you rent or have an electric scooter then it becomes easy for you. A taxi is expensive, however, the bus is convenient for that travel until midnight. Otherwise, rail transport is also good.

Good university to study in UK for masters
Tips: I got the M.Sc. training scholarship which was partially funded and I received a waiver of 5000 GBP on my tuition fee. There are many scholarships meritorious students can even get 10000 pounds off depending on luck as well. I like this university and everyone is helpful. Faculty and student bodies are all good.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation has no problems. Single line system and inter-changing is not required. I prefer the bus to go to my college as my accommodation is not far. I have gone to London, it took me 2 hours and 15 minutes to reach there by train. It is also very cheap which I like but not that much as compared to some other European countries.
Dislikes (Part time work): The university has many jobs but I don't know why they do not give it to students who are already studying there. In other universities, students get the job but here they bring others to do it and not the students which I didn't like. Outside the college jobs are available, hourly rate is 12 pounds don't work for something less than as some students have been made to feel foolish.

The university is good, still need to improve in the practical analysis
Tips: Students coming should be aware that it is going to be tough. However, the quality of faculty and teaching standards are higher than other nearby universities. Faculty members are supportive but some of the subjects need a bit more practical topics. Lastly, students should come prepared, try to get in touch with a few students from your course.
Likes (Post study jobs): Considering this is one of the top rated colleges in the UK, it provides practical exposure compared to other colleges located in the area.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): The facility in the college is good and highly talented. Most of them were Ph.D. professors and they were very friendly and answered all our questions. And most importantly the knowledge they possess is very valuable and most of them were very polite.

UEA Norwich, UK - A hidden gem for students
Tips: Be open to meet students from other countries and cultures, respect other people's space and don't forget to socialize. There are multiple scholarships and grants available which are not very hard to avail. I'm fairly satisfied with the course structure and had a really good time at university and Norwich is a quite peaceful and green city. On-campus lake is a big plus.
Likes (Safety): Student union is there for any other issues, local people are quite friendly and I personally never had any safety issues or never heard of any security-related issues from anyone around. Norwich is a quite safe and scenic city, the cost is nearby and often it costs 32 to get to the beach which is quite cheap over there. You will find people very friendly towards Indians and Indian food. If you know how to cook, you can make friends very easily. There is a strong drinking culture there but still safe for everyone. There are frequent awareness programs for students to prevent any non-international harassment.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Currently UK is not in a good phase and not providing a lot of sponsored jobs, value of university is good though. I'm currently working in India because of my personal circumstances but you can definitely move and live in the UK. Just don't forget to skill up and go for practical knowledge. Books and exams give us the foundation but it takes more than that to get a good job.

Overall a good university and great support
Tips: It is better to stay on campus accommodation as you will have update regarding what is happening in the university. A lot of activities are conducted to bring unity. The only problem is for the vegetarians as there are not many options available. Also, it is advised to study the module details and try to reach out to any seniors who studied the same course.
Likes (Public transportation): Bus accessibility is high. Till late at night we have access. 2 buses run from the university to the city centre which is at very high frequency. Cab services are highly priced so it's better to avoid that. University is not far from the market place and everything is available on the campus.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The expectations from the students at least in technical jobs are quite high. Initially, we will find it difficult as the system is new to us. But building a network helps you get and survive in the jobs. You need to have strong knowledge to get a job here.

Dislikes (Indian Food): Food is too costly. Many food outlets close in the evening so it is difficult to get food at night time. The cost of food is high. The same food item has a different price in different food outlets. Indian food is rarely available. Transport is costly to bring groceries.

Dream college where you can make your career
Tips: Students should know about their coursework as well as placements prospects of the field. Apart from that they should check about course curri and exam pattern which will be helpful for students as the exams here are different from the ones in India. The library is also 24/7 365 days available. You can book a private room also in the library to study. My overall experience is good and satisfied with this college.
Likes (Part time work): Avg Payout : 11 GBP. Depend on your job and company and sometimes on a bank holiday you will get double payment. Go to career central and apply for part job. It is very easy to manage and mostly you should prefer Sunday weekend shift. So part time jobs are easily available.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Less possibilities at this moment as per the government rules and regulations. About PR, it will take more than 5 to 7 years. So in the country PR chances are very less. But if you get some good opportunity then might be good to get PR. So during the study you have to focus on study and once you get a good job and the company will offer you sponsorship then your chances of PR will increase.

Tips: It's better to know everything before and I don't think UEA is a bad option. I would strongly recommend it to upcoming students. Students need to know about the place where the university is so that they can get to understand the job opportunities over here.

Wherever you go you can go safely and return back, people are very free with us and helpful, and the university has safety support and they care about everything. Which makes us feel that we are safe and protected. The university accommodation is also safe.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I prefer eating Indian food but we barely get Indian groceries. And it's very expensive country but still, it's fine, if we can manage to cook. Few Indian groceries are available so we can get some time to cook and have good food. Sometimes we can try new cuisines outside. .

Our university is very supportive and friendly. University has very good name locally and overall.
Tips: I faced a bit of a cultural shift after coming here like food, dress, language and many more. I got a standard scholarship for Indians which was fixed and if you are an Indian you will get the scholarship by default. I'm really happy with the university and the course which I'm doing and after a few months I really started liking this country and the city.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): I would prefer to settle here as I started liking this city a lot and I will be getting two years of post-graduation work permit. Hence there are chances to get settled over here. There are a lot of job opportunities available here in this country. Also, the university is supportive of us if we apply to their career centre.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Even though food option is less we get all kind of grocery so particularly we won't miss much. There are few restaurants from our country of origin like Namasthe Village restaurant charge more than market price but the quality of food is authentic. Good for academics and professional opportunities.
Tips: University of East Anglia is a reputable institution that provides students with a range of academic, social and professional opportunities. By understanding what UAE has to offer students can make an informed decision about whether it is the right university.
Likes (Indian Food): There are many retail shops that sell Indian-origin or Asian food in Norwich. As well as restaurants owned by Indian or South Asian people are very popular like; Namaste Village, Spice valley. Here one can get vegetarian and non-vegetarian options easily.
Dislikes (Public transportation): Public transport in some areas is not convenient or accessible enough to travel regularly. This is due to infrequent services and longer wait times. A major concern is that most of the routes connect via the city centre and one needs to change the bus at the city centre.

Good university for studies and I really enjoy the university life.
Tips: I am satisfied with the university and the city. The teaching is really great. The university is more focused on academics. Very satisfied with the faculty and facilities. The facilities that we have is so advanced it meets international standards. University also meets all the security standards.
Likes (Quality of faculty): All faculty members are good and friendly. We can approach them any time we want. All facilities are available in the university itself. AccesOboe is so easy and good. There are so many good facilities at the university.
Dislikes (Value for money): I think the fee is fairly enough. The college also provides the necessary facilities. The faculty members are so good and talented to demonstrate all the topics with real-time scenarios. University is up to date with the latest technology in the educational system. Also, have transport facilities.

Good for studying. Build a network by attending all sessions.
Tips: The college will help you in building your resume and with interview preparation. Norwich doesn't have many opportunities but it provides a peaceful environment. The location of the university plays a major role, and UEA has a sound environment.

Nice place with welcoming people
Tips: Be ready to adapt to a new culture. People are nice and welcoming but you have to be careful of the surroundings. As small incidents happen everywhere. However, everything is a new experience and be careful of the privacy of others as they love it when you value it.
Likes (Safety): University people are always present if you have any issues. Be it related to finance or mental peace, they have dedicated teams for all of this and even they do support in every possible way. You can contact them regarding any issue and they are more than happy to help.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Restaurants are expensive and I like to eat at home. Eating outside is costly as you have to pay in pounds and be ready to cook everything at home. If not, you can choose to eat frozen food which is also a nice thing to do as it costs less and is also good everywhere.
