Wonderful college experience with wonderful university.
Tips: Our university is a supportive place for our students with a wonderful journey of exploration and teacher guidance, you can achieve your goals by being at our university. The professors here are very humble, supportive, and caring, we can easily crack our competitive exams by following their guidance. Teaching here is much better than at other institutions. Besides, guidance from teachers and outside people allows students to safely explore the city and its environment. It's wonderful to be here.

The university is average and lacks to provide opportunities to students.
Tips: Before applying to a university, you should do your research and learn from a reputable source. Mari State University is in Yoshkar-Ola, a small town where things are not fancy. There are also language barriers, so make sure to learn some Russian if you choose to apply. Extreme temperatures are an additional negative. If you are a medical student, a part-time job is out of the question. There are no high-paying jobs either. People usually get menial labour jobs, like working in a chicken factory or something similar. Some of my friends have gotten injured while working at a lumber mill.

Good friendly nature and heart whelming experiences.
Tips: Russia is way safer than the US, UK, Europe, Canada, and Australia. More than 4,00,000 international students were enrolled in Russian universities as of January 2023. More students are enrolling each year. International students often hang out together, so you'll probably enjoy great company most of the time. There are many festivals and activities held on campus. We all celebrate Indian festivals as well. There are a number of people who are very keen to learn about our culture and experiences. The faculty os outstanding and very helpful. They provide us with course packs and materials. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the country, course and the university.

The college is average and there are hardly any practical classes.
Tips: There are no scholarships as of now and my parents pay for all my expenses. It's an average university and you'll get time to do a lot of self-study, but there are much better universities than this one, so please choose wisely. The practical classes have a very average approach here. Russian people may get the desired exposure, but Indians may not. There are few opportunities for clinical practice, so if you want to succeed, learning Russian will definitely help. Due to the language barrier here, most people prefer to work with Slavic people, and it becomes difficult to communicate with people on a daily basis because they don't speak English. Therefore, it's hard to find part-time jobs. As an MBBS student, I also have limited time for part-time jobs, so I personally prefer not to work.

Our college provides quality education. The faculty are well educated.
Tips: The university arranged an olympiad test in many subjects for students who got first rank in the university and by giving prizes and some kind scholarships. There are many options in our city for students who want to work and study at the same time such as cafe and factory package work or delivery service work, etc. The pay is good enough that we could easily manage our rent, food, and other expenses as students while we study. I think it's very nice to have this option available, and I think we can manage work and school. Indian food here is available, but not the same kind of Indian food we get in India. Russian food is not spicy the way Indian food is. The price of food here is a little higher than it is back home. Our university campus has a canteen where you can eat pizza, burgers, and fries. It's also a nice place to sit down for a coffee or a meal.

Faculty are renowned for their exceptional teaching and unwavering dedication to student success.
Tips: I’m very happy to be a student at such a wonderful university. I’ve learned so much about different cultures, which is important because my university embraces diversity and inclusion. Because of my faculty’s expertise and passion, I’ve also benefited from a transformative learning environment. The fifth year and internship were valuable inclusions and gave me hands-on experience in the field. The university has high standards, but limited partnerships with industry. This makes it harder to find internships. So, for any student studying in India, it's essential to be proactive and persistent in your search.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty at my university are renowned for their exceptional teaching, groundbreaking research and unwavering dedication to student success. Our campus bursts with energetic debates, culture, festivals and cutting edge research.

Great university with advanced technologies and updated syllabus.
Tips: Students should know that MBBS is not easy. You will have to study a lot. And as long you give your best the teachers will appreciate it and help you in becoming the best version of yourself. The local people are friendly. The neighbourhood is safe. The university campus is big and pretty accessible. The library is one of the best where a student can study. The sports department is very involved and encouraging. If the student is sincere then the teachers also try their best to help the student to the best of their capabilities. The faculty's ability to break down complex problems in an easy manner for the student to understand is truly commendable and worth appreciation. I came here as a transfer student from Ukraine, and I can't say enough good things about it. You should definitely consider this university if you want to get an education in Russia.

The university is decent and lacks many facilities.
Tips: After coming here, you'll find that the life of every student is going to have its ups and downs. It's nothing out of the ordinary, but keep going because you’ve already come so far. Focus on your studies and try to self-study as well. Every person here minds their own business and doesn't try to interfere in other people's business. It's quite good, and safety is just awesome even though girls are roaming outside at night. I like the safety here because even though girls are roaming outside at night, there are no safety issues at all. I prefer to cook for myself, as the restaurants are very expensive, and I can't afford them. However, I still go to a restaurant once a month to try something new, and to break from the monotony of my own food. There are restaurants that are decent for Indian food. In conclusion, my experiences dining out in the area where I live have been decent, and I feel confident that I have enough to choose from.

The university is average but the student life is amazing.
Tips: So there is some noticeable cultural shift, which you have to respect. Here people don’t talk loudly as we do in India. We have to be more conscious about how we dress, especially in winter. You must wear winter clothes properly. Avoid clashing with locals. And for university studies, try to give your attendance as much as possible, because it will help you to pass many subjects easily without any exams.

Good and very friendly vibes from everyone.
Tips: Everyone should know that they should be independent here. I didn’t get any scholarships. I noticed many changes after coming here such as in food, clothing, language, religion, culture, and many more. I learned many new things after coming here. There are no such jobs for the field which I choose. We are required to take exams. Surgeons and many more opportunities you can get after graduation here. You need to take a medical entrance test in India after graduation here after that you can do post-graduation. You can do a part-time job in the weekends. Payout for the part time job depends on the work you choose. We can get min 500- 600 rubles per day in every job which are available here. At present, I'm doing delivery job where it will get 400 roubles for an hour.

University is good, friendly faculty and awesome management.
Tips: Few may get cultural shock, and a few may feel comfortable with the environment and its weather and food. So, it is good to be prepared for the cold weather. And it is good to bring some spices and cooking materials like vessels from India. As an Indian student living abroad, the biggest challenge I face is finding food I like. We are used to having way more options and materials for meals in India than are available here. I'd recommend packing your own cookware and spices from India to make it easier to cook meals that you like. We feel safe here at Mari State University, and this is because they have strong security protocols and measures. As students, we need to keep in mind that there are other students and staff who we need to respect. I have noticed that some students have problems regarding the issues with the locality, but I think that this is a good place to study.

The university is good and the classes are engaging and interactive.
Tips: Students who wish to study at the University of Mari State should familiarize themselves with the area and its climate. They should also learn about the schools policies and schedule so they can familiarize themselves with the study programme and how long they will be away. Students who are studying abroad should also prepare themselves for the transition by practising some basic cooking skills that will help them survive. This will give them more flexibility and prevent them from having to rely on familiar or potential unhealthy food. It would also be wise to learn more about where you're going to be living and what is available in the area. It's always best to prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
Likes (Value for money): I think that the best thing about studying here is that the people here are all very friendly. They are super helpful and try their best to support the students who study here. I never have to worry about my safety, which is a big plus. I can explore the area without feeling like I'm in danger. Being able to have access to everything and be able to participate in all sorts of things like sports and culture is a great perk too.
Dislikes (Part time work): In our classes here, the teachers are all friendly and teach us everything we need to know. They even provide all the materials we need to prepare for class and hold interactive sessions to keep us engaged. They provide us with all the practical and theoretical knowledge for the topics and I'm very satisfied with the teaching quality.

Affordable with best quality.
Tips: Students check out a video or vlog that gives you a closer look at the university. If you have any concerns about the cost of attending the university, or if you need information about student accommodations, you can find those answers there, as well as things like how reliable public transportation is in the area, and whether it's possible to get Indian spices if you're worried about being too far from home. The university itself is in a lovely small town, but if you're coming from a different country, you'll want to know that and be prepared for the pace of life that goes with it. Here we have 4 libraries that are always available for the students to use. They celebrate culture festivals with great enthusiasm. You can feel the diversity of the culture on campus. They also provide a free gym, and there are also cultural and Indian festivals celebrated from time to time. The faculty are well experienced in all subjects, with digital methodology and clinical correlation. These universities provide other courses besides medicine. It is one of the best universities in Mari El Republic, and Indian and Egyptian students study here with other international students.

Good in multi dimensional aspects and studies.
Tips: There was a big cultural shift when I got here, not only because of the location but also because of the language. Since there were other Indian students, I got used to it pretty quickly, and we all learned to appreciate each other's cultures. I find that the pace of life here and the mindset of people is very different. It can be challenging to understand how some things work, like public transportation and scheduling appointments. But the lifestyle here is very different from Indian culture, which is pretty nice. I'm used to the food by now, and we eat as a group, so it's definitely made the transition easier. Teaching is normal, but few teachers make it worth it. They teach using Indian books for us to understand better, and they give coaching from Indian doctors who give us cash courses for subjects we need.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): As for permanent immigration or settlement, you need to have a job, and that's a problem. You'll have to be fluent in Russian, and that's not easy. If given the chance to immigrate here, I wouldn't. In comparison to India, the pay for the same job isn't enough, and the winters are too harsh.

Mari State University has good academics but it can be stressful.
Tips: I feel the hostel conditions are bad. In single rooms, nearly six students are living. The rooms are very small and the kitchen is only on the ground floor. Students on the fifth floor would have to go all the way down to the ground floor to use the kitchen. There's only one Indian restaurant here, and it opened three or four months ago. The food is a little overpriced, and there aren't a lot of other Indian food options here. The restaurants in my city are expensive, and the food isn't very good. Sometimes, it's fine, but most of the time, it's not that good. Students should know that they can get many part-time jobs that pay by the hour. Many of the jobs are at places like chicken factories or similar places. If a student is properly documented, they can make good money, day by day, at these places.

The college is nice and the curriculum is tough.
Tips: You should be ready and mentally prepared for whatever comes your way. Don’t trust too easily. Learn cooking before you come here. You won’t be spoon fed here and you have to thrive. I personally haven't had any bad experiences but I have heard a few incidents where the city isn't very safe at night. So I guess if you hear something like that it sticks in your head. However if you’re thinking of renting an apartment here you’ll have to be extremely careful. I also understand that neighbours can be very strict in this area as well. It would be great if there were more options for vegetarian food outside the dorm. I've tried that one Indian restaurant near campus but the food doesn't taste very good.

Amazing experience, good vibes and enjoyable campus life.
Tips: Rostov State Medical University is an amazing university. You’ll have a great experience here. No cultural shift, a lot of Indians are here, local people are friendly and helpful as well. The faculty is amazing. They are very helpful, always trying to make students better. They explain everything, clear doubts regularly, are easy to understand, and make studying fun. I had a great experience here, and I recommend this university for anyone to come and study, so you can start your career. Student life is amazing. Classes are there throughout the day, with breaks in between, college life is fun and enjoyable. There is a gym, a good canteen to get food, and a library where students can study before going back to class. Very satisfied with the university, the course and the amazing country to visit.

The university is friendly and very welcoming.
Tips: There was no problem with my admissions process, which makes me feel grateful that I chose this university. Both cultural and academic events are well maintained at the school, which further shows how much this school cares about its students. The university is excellent. It has international facilities, a simulation centre for practice, well-equipped education systems, and well-maintained blocks for all students studying from all departments. The university also has the latest technology investment to improve student excellence. Permanent settlement is only possible if we work or marry a Russian citizens. To obtain Russian citizenship, we must work for more than 6 years or marry a Russian citizens. One significant downside to immigration is the need to learn Russian to survive here. I am very happy with this university and its education system, and I'm very grateful for the support I receive from the teachers and the school in general.

The college has modern infrastructure. It provides visual learning aids.
Tips: When I first came here, everything was so new. I had to adjust myself. It was not very hard, though. It was my first time away from home, but everything went fluently and here I am already in the sixth semester. Public transport here is great. All of the major city points are connected via multiple means of public transport, and it's cheap. I use public transport most of the time, including when I'm going to college. The buses are clean, safe, and quiet. Part-time jobs are tough to come by in Russia. It's mostly because our class schedule is jam-packed, and we don't have a lot of time to look for work. Second, the language barrier is tough to overcome; employers usually want us to be fluent in Russian, which is hard for students who don't speak the language natively. I have learnt a lot after coming to Russia. I think it was one of the best decisions in my life to go to Russia to study.

Mari State University has a diverse campus with highly knowledgeable faculty.
Tips: I did experience the language barrier before coming here. I thought many people would know English but I was wrong. You should learn Russian to get around here, although it is not mandatory. They provide scholarships to students who are coming through a consultancy, too. There's a variety of transportation options available in the city centre where the campus is located. Students can choose between cabs, trams, buses, and metro and it is relatively affordable, costing between 30 and 35 rules per ride, which I appreciate. The transportation options are relatively safe, and the students can travel without any concerns.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Permanent immigration to this country is impossible because the university only provides temporary residence to students and that temporary residence is only for the duration of their studies. Regardless of whether or not it was possible to permanent immigrate, I wouldn't want to live here because of the weather conditions, among other reasons.

Good option for MBBS abroad.
Tips: Smolensk State Medical University is a pretty serious college to study, so I had to get serious and put in some serious study time. If you're thinking about applying here, do not slack off, or you might not graduate. The teachers are okay, but you have to be prepared to put in time and do your own research. Self-study is a must to have a clear understanding of the concepts. Besides, it is very cold in winter. The classes start at 8 a.m. and we can easily use the public transportation. It is very convenient, affordable and accessible. People are very friendly as well and will help you in case you need any help. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the country and the university.

Smolensk State Medical University has very limited internship opportunities.
Tips: Firstly, check how the university was, how the campus or campus area was, whether it was habitable or not, and also look at the university's results. There's no part-time work available to students because the university wants us to focus on our studies. The university says that we don't need part-time work, as there are lots of parts to our study plans. A lot of the students disagree with this policy, but it does help us to concentrate on school. Public transportation here is good with routes to every stop and so many buses. There are also private buses that work like public transport. I like it because travel times are reasonable, and the bus stops are all near my apartment. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the country and the college.

Hustle of college life for becoming the best doctor.
Tips: Life won't be as easy as you expect, so be mentally prepared. It's going to be like a proper Indian hostel, with all the usual politics. Cooking is your responsibility, so don't come unprepared. You came here to study, so keep that at the top of your priorities. Student life is a little difficult but it’s good at the same time as we get to learn a lot of new things, which helps the students grow better in the future. Like anywhere else, here there are college politics and hostel politics. But we will make the best memories here, so enjoy and participate in all activities, as after these five years there is no fun. Since there aren’t many options for Indians in this city, it can be tough to find items like Indian food and other basics. It’s also difficult to adjust to your new environment at first, but it gets easier once you get your bearings.

Great university with strong academics and tests fortnightly.
Tips: Before joining this college, you should be aware that you'll be living on your own in an unfamiliar city. You should also know that you may not get your scholarship money right away, so don’t panic. You'll be part of a culture change, though, so you'll have to learn how to celebrate Indian holidays. Student life is good here. Many events happen on the Indian Culture Committee, and everyone who’s interested participates. The campus also hosts a lot of quiz programmes and debate competitions, which are great for students looking to expand their vocabularies. Overall, this is a really nice school that takes your studies seriously.
Dislikes (Value for money): The teachers here are very strict, but it's because they really want us to be good doctors. The testing system is very nice because the teachers give us a moral exam. This helps the teachers weed out students who didn't study but still might manage to pass the written exam.

Smolensk State Medical University provides scholarship based on scores.
Tips: I recommend learning cooking before you come to college. No smoking or alcohol is allowed on campus, so be prepared to give that up. I've found that the students tend to grow in a positive way in this environment. We also do have scholarships. For one, there's a scholarship for 6500 dollars that’s divided among the top students at the college. We have classes from morning until evening. As a result, we're unable to work. I am primarily here to study. My parents pay for my education. I’m satisfied with this college.
Likes (Public transportation): The public transportation system is very good and is made up of buses, trams, and “marshutkas” which are mini-buses. The frequency of service for all these modes is quite good, so there is never any long wait. On top of this, they're quite punctual. The charges are also very low and overall, the quality of the service they provide is very good.

Smolensk University does not provide any internship opportunities.
Tips: There is a good environment here. I’ve never heard of any junior students complaining about ragging from a senior. Seniors are very comforting and help a lot during the course. You’ll find that some teachers are strict, while others are very friendly, but either way, the education experience here is very good. You should also know there is an initial scholarship that is taken away if you fail an exam on the first try. The hostel has a strict schedule, but there are strict rules about safety and security. The city people are very friendly and helpful. I don't feel insecure in the city's public transportation, or in public places. All the essential stores and shops are very close to the university and hostels, making life easier. Part-time work is not allowed on a student visa, so working part-time is not permitted. Offered by Smolensk State Medical University

College is good and has strong curriculum.
Tips: All students should have basic knowledge from precollege and students should prepare mentally and physically before joining. Students are eligible for scholarships based on their grades. All the learning environment is too friendly for students and their study. There are no opportunities for study because MBBS is a vast and difficult subject. Therefore, we don't have opportunities available for a part-time job. There are too many difficult subjects that can't be handled together with study. The faculty members are highly qualified and demonstrate very good intentions and personal observations toward you. Additionally, the faculty are very friendly and will help you with any problem you encounter. They are also helpful and willing to give personal attention. With all of this, it is no wonder the college has a very good track record of successful results for its graduates. Overall, I am highly satisfied with my experiences.

The university only focuses on academics. There are no events or extracurriculars.
Tips: After entering the university it doesn't feel like we are in Russia because there are a lot of Indian students here and the Russian people are very friendly. Scholarships are available up to 8 lakhs per year which can be split among the top students. Public transportation in Smolensk is very affordable and there are many options available. The buses and trams run on time and the roads are clean and well maintained. Taxis are also available at a reasonable price. There is no opportunity for part time work at this university. The university does not allow students to work part time because the MBBS degree has a vast portion that students cannot complete if they are working part-time. The university keeps a close eye on students to ensure that they focus only on their studies. I am satisfied with my university.

Smolesnk State Medical University does not allow us to work part-time.
Tips: One of the most challenging things about attending Smolensk State Medical University is the transition. There is a lot to get used to after coming here from so far away. We have to adjust a lot of things as we leave our comfort zones. In particular, we must adjust to a new food culture, a new family experience, and a new living environment. However, we have scholarships available here at the university for those who work hard enough to get top marks. The university provides one full year’s tuition for the top student and half that for the second-place student. The faculty at my university is really good. There are many good faculty for foreign students. The faculty can speak English very well, and it's helpful to understand them and their teaching style. They are very supportive, easily accessible and approachable. Overall, I am satisfied with my experiences.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are lots of part-time jobs available. But the University doesn't allow us to work because we're on student visas. This is good for us, as there's a lot to study for our MBBS program, and we don't have a lot of free time. We're not bothered by that since our main focus is on studying, which we're doing well.

Smolensk state Medical University is best it is the Opportunity to take Admission
Tips: First, check out the university campus and the accommodations, both on and off campus. Try to connect with your seniors and ask them about the course, internship and college. Try to bring warm clothes as it can be very cold during winter. There is no opportunity to work in the city, and the university doesn't allow students to work part-time. This is because this is a medical degree, and the portion is so vast that students cannot complete it if they are working part-time. Overall, I am satisfied with the course and the country.
Likes (Internships): There are lots of practices in universities and hospitals, students can handle a wide range of patients, including those with tuberculosis and lung fibrosis. X-rays are readily available, and medical facilities are excellent, with all medications being affordable at some hospitals. All doctors are careful and well-trained.

Smolensk State Medical University provides numerous internship opportunities.
Tips: It is difficult to survive in Russia at first because of the could climate. However, after two or three months you will get used to it. Other things are normal. You should bring cooking materials like masala and some utensils like a cooker and pan. The university does not allow students to work part-time, which is good because the MBBS course loads is very heavy. The university wants students to focus on their studies and not waste time working. Smolensk has excellent public transportation. There are electric buses, trams, taxi, and marshutkas. You can also rent a car if you have an international driver's license. Traffic is light compared to India, and the signal system is very good, so there are few accidents. Overall, it is a mini India as there are many Indian students in the university.

A place worth living and a degree worth achieving.
Tips: Students should know that it is a long journey, and it is not easy but yes, definitely worth it. There is obviously a transition that suddenly occurs but after spending these many years here, it definitely feels like home. You do get a yearly scholarship here if you score full marks in each subject. I'm satisfied with my choice, in fact, happy to choose this country over others.
Likes (Safety): I feel safe and secure at Smolensk State Medical University. The city is peaceful, and the university and hostel rules that every student must follow contribute to the safety of the campus. Security is a major consideration when choosing a place to study, and Smolensk is a great choice.
Dislikes (Part time work): Students are not allowed to work part-time while studying at Smolensk State Medical University. The university believes that MBBS is a difficult course and does not have any workload. However, if the university had permitted part-time work, everyone would have chosen to do so.

It is an amazing place where we will grow professionally.
Tips: The college is amazing with very good faculty for every subject. The faculty members are well-trained in their respective fields and are more than equipped with knowledge for teaching us. I would suggest students not to have too many expectations, but it will be a good experience working with them.
Likes (Public transportation): The public transportation is well-connected and affordable. Trams, trolleybuses, and marshrutkas provide service, and the routes are well-connected and on time. The system is also easy to track on maps. The people in the city are friendly and will help you find your way if you need to go somewhere. There are also resting stations available.
Dislikes (Indian Food): We used to cook for ourselves because it was more affordable and cheaper than eating out. There were some Indian restaurants but they were not good enough to eat at every day. The groceries are available at affordable prices and in the hostels, cooking gas is free and shared by everyone. So we could easily make our own food.
