Master's in Public Policy and Administration - Batch of 2025
3.8
Friendly and welcoming place.
Tips: My department is big on research and academia. I learnt how to adjust to come out of the customs and societal expectations, which took a while to adjust to. Most of my classmates are international students, and my faculty advisor is very inclusive as well. Professionalism and punctuality are very important here.
Likes (Student Life): Kind, close knit people who are friendly and won't hesitate in helping if you need. I found the campus really lovely to stroll around and explore, with some of the green space being my favourite here. There are also campus pets, which make it all more pleasant.

Master's in Information Systems - Batch of 2026

Close knit and tight community.
Tips: My classes are very fast-paced and relevant; they like to cover what is more marketable and important for students to know. You'll discover things about yourself that you never knew existed after spending some time here. I like how the courses are structured and the campus clubs have made me feel more welcome than I'd imagine.

Master of Science (MS) in Communication - Batch of 2026

Great campus and faculty.
Tips: Something not a lot of people know is that Northwestern makes its education very interdisciplinary and encourages students to explore various aspects of their major, as well as areas outside of it. The student body is diverse and supportive. Public transportation is very convenient, accessible and affordable. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences so far.
Dislikes (Part time work): Part-time work for international students is honestly a rarity, with few options available both on and off campus. Off-campus opportunities involve many legal hurdles, making them very tricky to obtain. You could try looking for jobs in academia or research.

One of a kind university; supportive and encouraging faculty.
Tips: My programme is something I chose out of passion and genuine interest. I had several options to study from but Northwestern made the most sense. My professor have been supportive and helpful every step of the way and their teaching has made a difference. I also have a scholarship of 8000 based on my projects and that has made studying here easier.

Master of Engineering Management (MEM) - Batch of 2023
3.9
Short course with very good education and hectic lifestyle
Tips: Be prepared to go through a tight schedule for the next 15 months. Make good connections with seniors well before coming to campus and learn how to network with people. I'm very satisfied with the course. All is good and I am happy.
Likes (Indian Food): There are quite a good number of restaurants of every cuisine around the campus. Korean, Thai, Mexican, Indian, Nepalese and a lot more.
I prefer cooking as it gets expensive if you eat out every day. My fav was 10q and hokkaido near the campus.
Dislikes (Student Life): It's a 15-month course. You'll be in job and intern search for 3-6 months totally together, although social life is not good, due to limited time of 9-12 months free time, it depends on person to person. There are a lot of clubs in the university you should be proactive and explore various clubs on the campus. My fav is NU Adventure.

Georgia doesn't offer a straightforward path for students to obtain permanent residency.
Tips: The MD program is recognized by the NMC, making it easier for Indian students. The medium of instruction is English, and the faculty speaks it well, which encourages greater class interaction. Furthermore, the tuition fees are cheaper compared to Indian colleges that overcharge.
Likes (Internships): Many colleges, like TSMU, allow students to participate in procedures early on, rather than just observing and lecturing. Also, the hospitals are very modern and well-equipped with the latest technologies and staffed by expert doctors.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Georgia doesn't offer a straightforward path for students to obtain permanent residency, unlike many other countries. It takes several years of residency and work to gain citizenship. Even with citizenship, racism can make individuals feel unwelcome.

Impressed by the quality of education.
Tips: I have changed drastically after moving to Georgia. It is a cultural difference and people's mentality is different from what I have experienced in India. But it is easy to adjust to the changes. There are scholarships available from the university even though I haven't applied for any. I am really satisfied with the academics and the teachers of my university. They were really helpful throughout my studies and even for clinics. Georgia is a beautiful country and transportation is also cheap as they have student sanctions for public transportation. But it is more expensive than India and they have become more racists in the past years.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty is quite good. Doctors are approachable and they even help out the university staff. The university is equipped with modern technology learning objectives and that is worth the money we pay for. The university has mostly Georgian nationality for the faculty but we can also find some foreigners for the webinars and in some of the clinics.
Dislikes (Internships): Internship is not as same as in India. The patient exposure is actually quite good. But as compared to the usual internship practice in India, we don't have an exact internship. We just have clinical classes that are held in hospital and during that time we can visit patients and examine them if they are cooperative. As the university has obtained a cardiology centre, cardiology is quite good and can do extra practice after undergoing an interview with the dean of the faculty. There are also exchange programmes with other countries for which Indian students are also applicable.

The experience is tough at first but eventually it will be worth the experience.
Tips: The lecturers are good, but the exams are tough. The topics are not covered in the two-hour lecture period, so you have to study the full topics from an app like Prep, Marrow, or World. The following week, you have to give a viva on the topic, and your score is based on that viva. Because of the language barrier, it is difficult to find a job in Georgia. However, you can get a job delivering for an Indian restaurant or mess hall. If you learn Georgian, it is easy to find a job. In the beginning, it is difficult to get a good paycheck, but if you work part-time, you can easily pay for your food and housing.
Likes (Public transportation): In Tbilisi, Georgia, the public transportation system is clean, fast, and safe. It's also very affordable. For just 4 rupees, you can travel anywhere in the city. If you change buses or the metro within an hour and a half of your first swipe, you don't have to pay again. I lived 18 kilometres from the airport, and it took me 45 minutes to get there by metro and bus for just 4 rupees. That's a lot cheaper than taking a taxi, which would have cost 25 lari.

Very friendly and diverse college with great faculty.
Tips: A good environment for studying. The teachers were caring, supportive, and friendly. There were scholarship programmes available at the college, but I didn’t qualify for any of them. This college made me much more self-efficient and courageous. The food is very cheap there, and Georgian cuisine is very tasty. You can also get Indian food. A 5,000-dollar course can be considered reasonable if it offers strong educational value, excellent support, and access to career-boosting opportunities. If it lacks in these areas, it might feel overpriced. But at this price, they offer a very good learning experience and good college infrastructure.
Dislikes (Part time work): Working part-time while studying for a medical degree is a little tedious. You don't get enough time to study and work because of the huge syllabus. It's challenging to concentrate on studying enough and find a part-time job sometimes.
