MSc in International Finance - Batch of 2025
4.3
Supportive environment and practical oriented classes.
Tips: Rennes School of Business is very international, so you will meet people from across the world. Classes are taught in English, and teaching style is very practical and industry focused. The workload can get busy, especially with group projects, so time management is important
Also the city of Rennes is student-friendly and affordable compared to bigger French cities.
Dislikes (Part time work): On campus opportunities and part time jobs are available but quite limited in number. These usually include roles such as library assistants administrative support student ambassadors or event helpers. Since many students apply for these roles selection is competitive and positions are often filled quickly at the beginning of the academic year.

Good experience but there are challenges along the way too
Tips: It takes a little while to understand the lay of the land and the area, as well as to figure out how to go about it. But once you get a hang of it, it is absolutely convenient.
The course is really good, I did receive a scholarship from the school as well. However, there is very limited help in finding an Internship.

College is best. But getting an internship is really hard. So come with an experience
Tips: The culture here is different. People party now and then. They always wear sophisticated clothes. I did receive a 2000 Euros unframed scholarship. I wrote an essay and applied through Shiksha and they helped me receive it. I am really satisfied as an Indian it's actually an easy curriculum.

The college is diverse. I am having a lot of fun here.
Tips: The school is really good and a lot of international students are present. I got a scholarship of 2000 euros for that I submitted a scholarship essay. I am now doing an M.Sc. in luxury marketing and brand management course. The main part of the course structure is that it's not all about the exams sometimes you just have to submit your own theoretical reports.

Great faculty, good campus but post study options are not great if you don't know French.
Tips: Be prepared to handle everything by yourself. As far as possible, try to learn French, though the college provides French lessons included in the syllabus. Accommodation can be a hassle, beware of fraud. Pick pocketing is very common. Beware and be careful of the same.
Likes (Student Life): A relaxed, student oriented city. Allows you to have a good balance of social and educational life. There are lots of fun activities if explored rightly. A lot of international students live in the city. A lot of benefits for students with the student card provided.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Not much assistance from the university cause of language barriers. Fluent French is most sought for. It's a long, tedious and tiring process to get post-study internships. The college has a dedicated team, but they do not guarantee a placement, so it more or less depends only on you.

3.6
An academically enriching experience with global exposure and personal growth.
Tips: The faculty is supportive but expects self-motivation and participation. Campus life is vibrant, but navigating administrative processes can be challenging at first. Being proactive is key. There is a cultural transition. Classes are more interactive, and independence is valued. I quickly embrace the international vibe. Strong academics, a relevant course, and France offers great cultural depth despite some bureaucracy.
Likes (Indian Food): My chances of permanent settlement are low unless I pursue higher education.
Restaurants are offering authentic cuisine from my home country, but they tend to be pricey and are often located far from campus. I prefer cooking at home; it's more budget-friendly. Portion sizes in restaurants didn't justify the cost, so preparing meals myself turned out to be the better option.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Permanent settlement seems quite difficult without a master's degree or job experience. Most employers aren't willing to sponsor a work visa for Bachelor-level graduates which severely limits options. Even though I enjoy the country the visa process is quite rigid and competitive.

Must learn French language
Tips: Must learn French language and be ready for anything. You can face some problems with the management of the college and you need to make them aware of that, its totally your responsibility. Things here are different and you need to adjust yourself accordingly.
Likes (Student Life): They help international students in every possible way and take care. Organize various events and a lot more. But students can have some management issues with the college administration so you are responsible for yourself. You need to take care of all the things.
Dislikes (Part time work): You need french language to do part time and moreover it's a small city so you don't have many options. Even if you find some part time work, your work can be a hindrance in your studies because you will have a lot of assignments, group work and exams going on.
