MSc Biomedical Science - Batch of 2026
4.2
Balanced academic experience with limited career support.
Tips: Be prepared to take initiative, especially for internships and job hunting. The course is academically strong, but career support can be limited. The shift to a more independent learning style and individualistic culture was noticeable. However, the environment is welcoming and diverse. I received a 3000 GBP scholarship based on my academic performance during admission. I'm satisfied with the quality of education, but wish there were more career support. The UK is a great place to study, though the setting can be tough.
Likes (Value for money): The course offers strong academic content, experienced faculty and access to well-equipped labs at a relatively affordable tuition fee compared to many other UK universities. The scholarship opportunities also help reduce the financial burden. Overall, the quality of education and resources provided justifies the cost of the programme.
Dislikes (Internships): There is very limited support or structured guidance from the university in finding relevant internships for Biomedical Science. Most students have to search on their own, and opportunities are often not aligned with our field or require prior UK experience, which is difficult for international students. This makes it challenging to gain hands-on industry exposure during the course.

MSc Biotechnology - Batch of 2024
4.8
It's really nice university, I will recommend it.
Tips: It's a nice place to study, nice education is provided. I have seen many changes in my life after coming to this university. I had a lot of expectations from my university and I am happy all were met. I am satisfied with my course and the university.
Likes (Part time work): It's a really nice place. Healthy relations with everyone. There is good teamwork and they are fair with work. I really enjoyed working with the team. They provide 11 pounds per hour. It's really nice. Happy with my job and I worked in the hospitality industry.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): There are many companies for jobs, they offer good packages. It's a good university for education. They provide proper knowledge for further job requirements. Really happy to get admission to this university.

Business Development and Innovation -MSc - Batch of 2024

Ulster has diverse people from every background and the best part is I never felt discriminated.
Tips: This degree is not very intensive so if you don't have business background you can still do wonders. Rest I got an extra fee waiver based on my credentials. There was no cultural shift but the weather was a challenge for me. Belfast is a small city with proper transportation available so you can give it a try if you want to study in a small city.
Likes (Post study jobs): There are less companies in Belfast which provide sponsorship as the city is small but the job opportunities without sponsorship are a lot. The other thing is it is a smaller city so salaries are lower than in big cities like London. If we talk about the big 4 like KPMG, EY, Deloitte etc. They are operating here in Belfast.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are less restaurants where I can find halal food and they are also pricy. Rest there are a lot of Indian restaurants but I think they are a bit pricy. I prefer to cook myself and I get my groceries from Tesco which is an amazing store with cheaper prices. And I eat out once a week so my overall monthly expenses are lower.

Overall good experience and value for money
Tips: No I don't think I have cultural shifted. Unfortunate I didn't avail any scholarships. I am pretty satisfied with this university. Course was very well good. I have gained practical knowledge from our professors and from my classmates as well. In terms of country I would be neutral.
Likes (Value for money): Yes I can say that the fee structure is satisfactory. University offers many courses. If you want to pursue a basic course of 1 year then the feels would be for an instances u00a315k and if want more deep and more research based then they offer an advanced course which is of 2 years and feels would be u00a33-4k more.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): There are plenty of companies who provide sponsored jobs. But that depends on what course you are in and what is your field. Many jobs are for IT companies. In terms of IT jobs one can get lot of job offers in the role of data analytics and data scientist.
